SubCool/Tga genetics not feminized?

hey all, decided to get some subcool genetics from the single seed centre, mpticed they are only listed as regular seeds? after reading so much about subcool, i would have thought he would have released fem seeds?
if they arent how many would you reccomend getting for a good chance of a female? either going for one larer plant or 4 smaller 12/12 from seed to find my favourite strain to re-veg and perpetuate.

Which strain are you looking for?

You can usually expect a 50/50 split on the female/male ratio.

lol well i want almost his entire lineup but jilly bean and jtr look like the ticket for now, gonna do one each 12/12 from seed see what happens

Yep 50/50 there is no real way telling and nothing you can do about it till flower. Take clones off each seed you grow then flower the clones rite away while small to find out which is male and female. And then select your mother.

Yeah, I've been looking at the Vortex strain, and its Apollo cross.

Subcool's fems are pretty scarce right now it seems.

50/50 should be the average. But there is no hard and fast rule. My last batch of regular seed started out with 14 sprouts. Ended up with 4 females, 10 males....

hmm maybe ill just get the 5 pack of each and see how i go, hate to get no fems though id be pissed

It's a crapshoot, but growers with more savvy than me seem to prefer regs.

well i was after a 60 day wonder first but couldnt find anywhere that i felt comfortable with ordering from, but subcool just seems so legit and i like the look of his gear. id still love a 60 day wonder though

Have you looked at a strain called La Musa (Alaska Automatic / Belladonna)? Also Crazy Miss Hyde (Northern Lights x Belladonna)? These two and a William's Wonder hybrid auto (I can't remember the name, maybe Thunder Fuckin' Wonder) struck me as some that might interest you.

But yeah, Subcool get's a lot of respect, he must must be doing good work.

BTW- there's a new report on 60 Day Wonder posted. Rather mixed review. I might have already mentioned this, but I thought you might want to have a gander.

Ive just noticed that TGA subcools are not femenzied too this really sucks. i was planning on gettin some single fem beans from the pick n mix but nooooooooo. Why oh why can't all breeders produce some fems? its not like theres no market for it :/ ah well.....looks like ill be buying from another breeder for now, can't be dealing with growing out 5 plants just to kill off potentially all of them lol i would in a bigger room but im just goin 12/12 in my cupboard so every pot counts AAAAAAAARRRRGHRGHKAGKRBKABFKA

Yeah i know what you mean bumps, I can only do like 5 strains at a time, and im only growin till spring so i guess id just rather grow out like 4 or 5 strains at a time just for the fun of it. Doing one cloned strain would take around 3 months to select females and clone them and produce my final bud. plus id need to flower the female while the clones were in veg so i'd need two rooms. Just sucks I think DNA do fems so i will prob just have a lil looky at their stuff, can u recommend any?? I was really lookin forward to growing TGA's space dawg for the narcotic stoned and fruity taste, and i was gonna get their Apollo 13 backcross for my sativa dom grow after my next indica grow. So if you cud give opinions on the best fem sativas out there you know giv me a heads up! cheers
