yea.. doesn't really help because that's how one ends up with more and products that they actually need.

What's to say that your increase in yield wasn't from diff veg time, healthier plants, diff nute strength or soil composition, light distance, basically having your grow dialed in?

Sorry I'm just really skeptical of additives these days after seeing that Humboldt County Ginormous (18/16 pk booster) didn't do anything.
not a prob man...as i stated before, i kept it as close to the same as i could... take it for what it is worth... i guess you can knock all the stuff that you have tried that has not worked... but YOU wont know until YOU try it... and that is a basic premise in life, dont knock it til you try it...lol

so the time that you got 2.5 oz, did you use molasses or anything?

I'm not saying that it doesn't work, what I'm saying is that a lot of times people buy a new product for their current grow and attribute their success to that product instead of possibly being better dialed in than the last grow.

exactly anomolies, I think someone just was dialed in on there grow. I don't think bud candy will add over 1/2 pound to final weight , come on nate do you really think the bud candy added over 1/2 pound to yur grow??? I am not knocking anyone here just don't believe that bud candy adds all that weight , it may bring out extreme flavors but double your yield, i doubt it.

I totally agree. i guess that could have been the case. The bud candy is sugar for the first 6 weeks of bloom. If the microbes eat the sugar, and that makes more nutrients/energy available for the plant. Is it that far fetched to think that would increase your yield? Base on the principal of allocation.

Not at all , but overall I doubt it would make that much of a difference, just my opinion. I will try it though like you said Nathen it really isn't that much and if it adds flavor then why not. All I am tryin to get at is you don't need all these additives to grow excellent weed.

i'm not saying it's far fetched, originally what I thought we were talking about is if there's any benefit to adding bud candy if you're already adding sucanat or molasses.

now that is a good question.... that would be a better side by side comparison... molasses v. bud candy.... hmmm... sounds intriguing.... subs opinion/knowledge is greatly needed here....

Well Sub said that bud candy is the better carboload product that he's tried, because "it contains citric acid" which is needed for something. I forgot exactly what he said. However, you can buy citric acid at the grocery store for like $3... so what else is there to justify the price?

I'm not specifically bashing AN here, this is just the way I scrutinize any product. If i'm going to be buying a product, I don't want to end up with buyer's remorse. You can already tell I am not an impulse shopper, except when it comes to TGA gear. haha

If you are talking about the product made by Advanced Nutrients-Bud Candy , it already contains molasses so more molasses is probably not necessary

cool, where'd you get that info?

I'm guessing all the vitamins & amino acids are from the cane juice and molasses.

Molasses has only vitamin B6 and calcium and iron and a few other micro nutrients but , not aminos and cane juice is just raw sugar cane which probably would be just sugars.IMO.

OMG! 950 posts, I am done. Took me 2 days, but fucking worth the read. Thanks so much Sub for this thread.

It has been interesting at times, with these repetitive questions makes me want to smack some fools lol. Its like, following the direction of the mix, just use plain water, maybe use a few additives at the end if needed. Bang Boom Bow Done. I can't wait to try this method. I noticed in your transplanting video, after you put the SS in the buckets, I noticed you put some root and biobizz and mixed it around with the SS. My question is did you mix basic soil in the with ALL of the SS, or just the few top inches of the SS? Leaving a few inches of untouched SS at the bottom. In the video its hard to tell if you are mixing the bottom of the bucket

Peace

there def wont be any aminos in cane juice or molasses... if i had to pick either mollasses or bud candy, it would be bud candy 7 days a week and twice on sunday....

You don't need to feed a plant amino acids, they make their own from the nitrogen you supply.
