I was going to say except for well water but I would think you can run that through a dual carbon filter to remove most of the bad stuff without all of that waste that RO makes. But then again, if it's your well and you aren't paying for city water, then it's no waste.well, the reason I use RO water is because i'm on well water and the ppm is at about 520. I don't know if there is to much of a certain minerals in it so why not just start off with a clean slate by using RO water.
Why would anyone need to use RO water in an organic soil grow?

I just hate paying for cal-mag when my tap water has sufficient amounts. I do let the chlorine off-gas and I don't think I have chloramine but even if I do, it doesn't have enough to kill many microbes especially if you supplement with benies as that will overwhelm any of the tap water antimicrobials, and additionally since you're adding it to a large amount of organic material
