this is my first grow. ive done my hw for about 5 years now and now i have the opportunity to make it happen. ive got 5 ww girls and they are lookin great. i vegged them in my vegbox under a 250w mh with drip irrigation hydro with pure blend pro grow.

Now in my flowering room i have an ebb & gro setup with 2 600 w hps's. 300something cfm can fan+carbon filter. lights sealed/vented. a/c ducted directly into the room. and on all botanicare nutes. milwaukee ph/ppm/ec tester. i dunno i got alot of other shit. I consider myself a newb because i am already learning that pretty much experience only will create higher yeild. But i consider myself an educated newb. I also didnt start with the mindframe of using cfls(not dissing), soil, or chemicals. i knew what it would take to make it happen and i did. my babies are at 44 days from sprout and 7 days into flowering. pics include veg box and flowering room

Here is some anecdotal evidence:
1-5 grows in crappy bubbleponic system w/not enough light

1st 2 plants = 2 males
2nd 2 plants = had to pull them
3rd 2 plants = 2 males
4th 2 plants = 1 male/1 hermie
5th 4 plants = 1 male/3 females taken to harvest
6th - ?? = whole new set-up w/much greater success rate

learned a lot those first few grows and had the first two been female i think i would have taken them to harvest.

I have had very good germination success rate (everything above has been from seed) - i'd say 95% germination from bag seeds. And the plants were always killed purposefully - never dying through mistakes.

I too am an indoor newb and just finished my first indoor grow. Met every expectation of mine, so I would say success. Grown outdoors for years in my teens and twenties, so I guess I am in that sub cat too.

I think a lot of people that come to the forums to learn about it, have a great chance at first success. My guess is assuming all 20 came to these forums about 18/20. I'm a newbie but I feel like I'm earning a degree in botany when I come to read these forums lol.

i still cant believe people grow in pc boxes like holly fuck thats too small step it up whats the point

You could grow several small autos in there and keep it perpetual. You could harvest a half ounce few weeks. Granted, if you smoke a lot that would be nothing. For some though, it would be plenty.

I ended up with 5 plants, 3 varieties and 4 of the 5 ended up being male, so I chopped those down and have one left that is a hermie. =/

But damnit I refuse to quit, it's pollinated itself and has one month to go! I will finish what I started, still not sure what to do with he/she's 2.5 clones... double =/

i done really well first, second n third times kept it simples then started to experiment abit and fucked a couple of yield up not disasters but my mistakes cost in the final yield.

2 friends that i showed the basics cause thats all i no have also done really well and are on there 4/5 grows now, learn a few basics keep it simple with soil n carnt see how can fail?

Anyone who is aware and not a complete moron can have the capability to finish a plant, it's not like there is some magic law saying you have to have been trying to grow for a long time before you succeed. If someone with little too no experience does the same thing as someone with years of growing under their belt the results will be the same. It's these kid's with miracle grow and a bag seed that they water every 8 hours and have no sense about the life cycle that are failing, it is solely due to lack of research and information. . . lazyness. I know plenty of people that decided to start growing pot bud did the research and made well informed decition's throughout the grow on their first grow and made out with some top shelf and good yield.
