they are called fan leaves, they are the solar panels for your plant, and the more of them there are the better you are. it doesnt matter if they touch the walls, each other, or are in the shade of other leaves YOU DONT CUT THEM OFF.

not really man. there are some techniques like lollipopping, but im sure this isnt what your talking about. lollipopping is the shit, but read up on your shit first. no offence, but if yoru calling them 'suckers' i imagine youve got quite a bit of reading and question asking to do.

i understand removing the damaged leaf... but why would you pull a fan leaf the is supplying power to grow that bud bigger away from the bud?? im sure that fan leaf is doing more good than harm...

ya me too if i have a leaf blocking a bud site then ya i pluck it to but ONLY 4-5 at most the worst thing u can do is go around pulling leaves of your plant those fan leaves ur pulling off are what feed's your bud's man SO DONT PULL THEM OFF

you guys are showing your lack of botanical knowledge. those fan leaves supply the energy for those shaded buds. the fan leaves are solar power production facilities, the buds are power storage sites. if you elimanate the first then there is less need for the second. those buds will grow bigger in the shade of fan leaves than if your were to remove the fan leaf to light it.

yes.. just because its covering something doesnt mean light is not penetrating through... light is not a solid thing.. and depending on the medium it is being shown through, it can penetrate.. it might not penetrate through quite as far because the leaf is absorbing some of it.. but some light will still get through

can you see the 'whatever it is' under the leaf in question? i mean when you open your eyes and point your head towards it is it visible to you? yes? then light is hitting it. not only does something like 50% of usable light pass through a leaf, but it bounces of every other thing it hits as well.
it doesnt matter if a leaf is touching a bud, a wall, another leaf, hiding a bud, or even jimmy hoffa...you dont cut it off unless your lollipopping your plant.
