Alright, growin in my closet, about 7 feet tall walk in closet. I got two plants growing, just started flowering them 5 days ago after 6o days of vegging.

I got 5 23w cfls, 40w soft white, 60w sylvania gro bulb, 2 65w sylvania gro bulbs, and in a week or so I will be adding a 150w hps. Got a fan blowing on them, will be giving them Super Bloom 12-55-6 once a month, just gave them some 3 days ago, seemed to make them grow more. Using fox farm soil. Two random seeds.

You think it will be enough lights for two plants?

(off hand question) Are feminized seeds white?

I just go by how the plants are looking and how they are taking to the light and in my experience that would be definatley enough. I usually use less light than is commonly thought to be required but I make up for it with using all of the light with great reflectors and keeping them the optimal distance away. I get great yields using my methods and I think you will be just fine.

no idea what they are, friend bought them for me. Their sylvania grow bulbs, meant for growing. They were like ten bucks each.
The soft white I just threw in for the fuck of it lol

the hps was the plan all along, just have to wait til wednesday til I get paid

any regular lightbuld (incandescent) does not give out much usable light for your plant, incandescent grow lights have a color coating on the inside of the bulb to color the light but its still only light from an incandescent bulb
i say leave the cfls on it, the rest of the light is just addin heat and wastin power
wait for your hps and maybe add on a few 3000K 26w cfls 3pak for like 20 bux @ home depot

the soft white I just threw in for no reason really, the inside coating is gone, but Ill probly take it out.
Ill take out one of the gro bulbs and leave one, I want to see if it actually does anything.
I'll get 2 26w and 2 42w cfls to go along with my 5 23w xfls and my 150 w hps

all those cfls and the hps should be good, you can get good side lighting with cfls
if i where you id take the grow lights and the incandescent bulb out, not doing anything but wasting power and makin heat

pic up the 27 watt daylight for veg and stick with the 23 watters for flowering your hps will do most of the work use your cfl for side lights and skirting... get them near the base pointing up or at a 45 next to the bottom leaves... ive seen massive plants with the grow bulbs but they dont flower for shit.. its not bad to use for veg but for flowering they waste more than they help... TLC and keep the space clean and tight youll have smoke soon... great job so far. The white seeds are under not fem. some seeds from bag grows are white premature but still can grow.. the black black ones are useless.. you want the tiger striped seeds they grow the best, fastest and usually have no defects.. keep an eye on it.. good growing

Feminized seeds are identical in appearance to normal seeds. Their appearance will vary just as normal seeds do. I've had some success with the smaller white seeds, but my favorite is the nice, plump brown with black tiger-stripes.

Feminized seeds are produced by treating a known female plant with gibberellic acid, a hormone that forces the creation and development of hermaphrodite flowers on a genetic female. The pollen produced by these hermi flowers are then used to pollinate the normal female buds. Since the pollen was produced by a pure, genetic female, the seeds produced will only have female DNA and grow into female plants. Hence, "feminized" seeds :-D

yeah it is. Wasnt sure how they did it lol

I got rid of the spot gro bulbs and the soft white, replaced them with cfls. I have 9 23w cfls now and the hps is being ordered on wednesday, should have it by the weekend.

Could I use a small air conditioner in the room and have a fan blow on the hps to cool it down?
