The plants have perked up since the transplant, they were starting to droop and needed a good watering, also the color seemed a little off. They are very happy this morning, and the color seems to be a healthier looking green.

I plan to start to tie them down tomorrow night. Is that too soon? I am thinking I may cause root damage to any newly developing root systems if they shift when I tie the plant down. What do you guys think?

Post up some pics of the ladies I bet they will be able to handle it.

:leaf:Peace:leaf:
I was doing some searching of LSTing of younger plants and noticed that most people tied one string to the lower stem. This would stabilize the plant when you tie down the top. This took care of my worries and I started training last night.

I checked a few hours later and tucked the fan leaves under any of the new growth so they would get lots of light. This morning they were looking good, all the leaves have pretty well re-orientated themselves with the lights. Hopefully be able to get some pics tonight.

I figure three more days and then I'll tie down again to make sure all top are at equal height and are taking full use of the space.

Should I hold off on watering for as long as possible to force the root system to search for water in the larger pot?

DAY 20

The plants have been doing really well. They have been watered once since the transplant 5 days ago with no nutes. Next watering I will add 25% of the recommended amount. So far they have been performed well under the LST. Each plant now has 4-6 tops all at around the same height. I think 8 more days or at 4 weeks I will switch over to 12/12. This way the new tops will have had a chance to develop and I will have been able to use LST to get the plants canopy at an even level spread across the entirety of the pot.

I've decided to call the plants E (black pot) and F (green pot) to keep with the naming of the last grow. Depending on sex I will then give a male or female name. Come on ladies!!

Anyways here's some pics:

E & F:

Thanks man, yeah the plants are getting super bushy now. I might have to trim some of the lower ones once I start flowering, because no light will be making it through the canopy.

DAY 23

Just gave the plants a full watering with 25% recommended nutes. Hopefully that won't burn them or anything....the plants have a lot of growth now so I figured they needed the nutes.

I also just tied down a few more times to even things out a bit.

Here are a few pics:

I'm really hoping I get some ladies when I switch the lights over. 0 would suck balls, 1 would be pretty good, 2 would be aweseome!!.

I did the thing with putting banana peels around the seeds and seedlings, heard there was chemical in the decaying banana peel that will cause seeds to be female (enthyelle or something....). Sounds crazy put if it works then sweet.

DAY 26

Two more days and I switch the lights, giving my babies 4 weeks in veg.

The plants are both really starting to grow each of their new tops. Only had one screw so far up doing the LST when I accidently pulled on one of the new tops too hard and it split clean off the stem. Faaaack, oh well.

So one the plants now has 5 tops and the other has 8. I think that when they start streching during flowering I will cut all of the lower growth and all new tops so that the plants can focus on what is biggest.

One more watering tomorrow night with 50% of the veg nutes, water after that will be a flush and then into flowering nutes.

And a few pics:

And since I am enjoying growing so much I planted an apple seed. Sweet.

Nice pics man, I think tonight when the lights go off I am going to leave them off for 36 hours. Then I'll be going into a 12/12 cycle. I am going away for the weekend so hopefully when I get back I see some pistils, got my fingers crossed.

I was going to water tonight but the soil hasn't quite dried out to the point when I usually water. Also I noticed on one of the leaves on a bigger fan leave the tip is burnt. It's not because of the lights so it must have been a caused by nutes. I figure the plant must have all the nutes it needs right now and if I added more tonight I might end up burning them. So I'll probably use clear water when the lights come back on after the 36 hours of darkness and then start into the flowering nutes.

Also I plan on tieing down the plants once more before they take off in flowering. I think last grow when I LSTed during the 3rd or 4th week of flowering I caused the plant to really slow down and work at developing brand new colas. This way I'll have all the tops set up ready to grow vertically and I won't have to stress them at all during flowering. I've got a much better handle on the height this time around.

later days :leaf:

Hey good luck with the pistils being there! I hope to see good things from this grow. We clearly have a similar set up but you've chosen LSTing and I went to Topping.
