suggestion for starting seeds

Short version:

I am looking for some suggestions/help starting seeds. Some ideas in what to grow them for the first wenor three, before moving to potting soil.

Long version, and some background info:

I have had one successful grow, and I am quite good in the whole germinating process now. All seeds I germinate, sprout. Problem is just, the only potting soil I get here, seems to be to hot for the seedlings, they stunt, they suffer, the previous ones managed to pull through, and grew nicely after that, I just feel I can grow better, if I start them in something a bit better, and then move over to the potting soil, coz on 20+ days, they still look like 2 days old.

I was thinking of, growing in 100% perlite for the first two weeks or so, hempy style, but how will I transplant to soil after the two weeks?

You need seed starting soil which is basicaly just plain peat. I usually mix 15-20% perlite it with MG seed starting mix, and plant seed in a 3 or 4 in. pot, transplant when ready.
