A couple of things inn that video don't make sense, including the range the "supposed" brain matter flew. The way he was holding the shotgun would have caused a direct entry wound out the back of the head, with more damage to the sides with minimal range. To get range like the video, there would of had to been a second shooter from aprox 3-4 feet away. He was also standing on grass when he did it, and any blood would have been absorbed by the grass, but it seems like it was pooling lol.

That looked real enough to me. Where is your source for this? Have you ever seen a shotgun blast to someones dome that close in person? I have. I'll tell you one thing : it isn't an easy clean up.
EDIT : More-over, have you ever fired a shotgun at something that close? I can tell you for sure that a stationary object hit with another object moving at over 2000fps will not sit still.

this brings up another thought...who knows what the shotgun was loaded with. buckshot...slug...or dubble 0....pretty sure a slug or dubble 0 can do that to a head...anyone care to take a watermelon outside and test?

There are no specifics about it. If a shotgun is fired that close to someone's skull you'll have a mess EVERYWHERE . Take a look at crime scene photos of shotgun suicides. You'll see some similar action.

My idea is that he stuffed the barrel (single) in his mouth right? Because it is so close to the weaker (more muscle/less bone) part of the upper neck, the shot would have gone directly through. If, however, it put the gun directly at the "dome" of his head, yes, it would of made a mess.
