Sunlight Budget Grow 1000 WattHPS Grow Light

I keep seeing this set-up all over the internet from like 179.00 on up to 249.00..What are the cons..Is there anyone on here using it.. You get the ballast under warranty, usually 2 years, a 1000watt HP Sodium Bulb and Econowing reflector.

I'm assuming it's loud and runs hella hot.....For new folks to this growing shit that price tag sure is fck attractive..

A couple, 10 to 16 plant grows then I'd be off and into some new proper lighting shit..

Any thoughts or recommendations?

I just bought a sunlight Ballast. I went 2 steps above the budget grow due to the same reasons you stated. Im sure it is better than no names from ebay but at some point that doesn't say a whole lot. They dont have a very thick housing meaning they probably are very loud. Easier to Aircool.

I mean seriously..Those same company's sell the same 1000 watt HPS system against a 600 watt lighting system for the same price...What's really going on?
