Hey Dargo. Found you on RIU.. I wanted to give you a tip about the mold. It's a trick some one from oregon was talking about, he uses it for powder mildew prevention, but i am sure it will work for other fungi/molds.

He bubbles a tea of just compost no molassis or anything else. He then filters out the big bits so he can spay it through a bottle. He will basically foliar feed with it, right up until midway through budding.

The idea is that the benificial microbes will out number the bad ones on the leaves. He swears by it, says the whole forest will be coverd in powder mildew but his gals are clean and green.

i am going to give it a try next summer. Maybe you should try it out on some thing next year, since your going to be fighting that mold every year.

How many days did your speedy finish in? I just ordered some seeds and I'm curious. Also have any pics of your purple mazar and your speedy Gonz?

Hey DARGO if your still here , About the Mi5 , I was thinking about getting it for a while and was wondering if you vegged them under 24 hr light indoors first then moved outdoors, if you did , did you light train it first or was it able to go right outside. Also how long would you say she took from start to finish. And Did it self seed from hermies or did you pollinate her . what did you pull dry weight from each Mi5 .
Thanks alot all your pictures are amazing and i think helped me make my decision. Thanks again.

Hi sorry thread went dead, had shit end to the year. among other things I lost the majority of anything I harvested after end of august to mold :(

Bighill, thanks dude I havnt got anything to lose by trying it next year, I have also been shown a product callled "bud Rot Stop!" buts its £20 for 250ml!!!

guitarjon, Im not sure how long, however they are proberbly the fastest finisher I have and with an exellent flavor & high. I got some growing indoors now and there finishing even faster. all my times for the greenhouse grow wont be very relivant for someone growing indoors or outdoors in another country as the weather is allways differnet here.

purpinhaler, The monster Mi5 I had outside was planted directly outside as seeds, they came from a seed run I did (mi5 (bush pheno) x mi5) I had loads in there but the rabbits ate them all apart from the 3 in the photo, Its a good job they all got eaten as just them 3 plants filled the entire area lol. I think it was around 14oz+ I got from the 3 of them, with the biggest producing the majority. I didnt get any hermie problems from the ones planted directly outside, I did selectivly polinate branches on the biggest girl. again not sure on time, they took a couple of weeks longer than smaller strains in pots

dargo i have tried a mold stop product that i bought here in the states i don't have it anymore nor do i remember the name but the stuff was liquid and if anything it added to the mold. well both you and i can say that the autos we have grown don't like humid environments. i'm guessing that is where the mold came from? here i had some autos catch major budrot just from being outdoor humid days during june.. that sucks. the plants were lowryder#2xak47 they would have been shitty little suckers anyhow. but i also had some good amount of mold during begining of july with iranians, they all got harvested fine though with honors i should say, but they had some bud that was tossed from rot. to big and tight of buds on those. but the lr#2xak47s rotted having small open bud structure in the wide open with tons of sun and wind.

Hey dargo what were the germ rates on your Mi5 seeds. I ordered 10 popped 6, they sprout up really strong but seem to die after a day or two. Only one grew, just harvested her 3 weeks ago and she's some really awesome smoke. I wish I had some place to grow outside your Mi5 bush looked so beautiful outside.

Hey Muddbutt, Do you have a life cycle on your MI5?? Tryin to figure if I have enough time for a seed producing run inside, for a mid may planting outdoors....
Thanks

got 100% germ rate on the mi5, indoors was 10-11 weeks outdoors was about 14. some people might say thats shit, but i harvested 14+oz off 3 plants outdoors in the uk before most people had even seen a pre flower on there outdoor crops. mi5 definetly preforms best grown in the ground, if you have to use pots make sure there big ones!?

you have enough time to do a seed run, grow them beans then do another run and still have time to spare. within 8 weeks of starting my first mi5 grow i had 1000's of beans. my advice is use all your males and pollenate all the lower branches of all your girls to keep as much genetic diversity in your first seed run, then with your following runs work the phenos you liked the most

Hmm maybe I just got an unlucky batch of seeds. Usually I'd wouldn't mess with the strain again if I'm having issues like this, but I was so impressed with the way this girl grows and the smoke I don't wanna give up on em. Maybe I can find some space to grow them outside next season.

Thanks Guys for your replies! Kinda dissappointing to a newbie to post and get no response...Not here!

14 weeks ain't perfect, but it will certainly do. I know the lifecycle should be predetermined, but It seems from the little I have read (especially in this thread) that environment and seed variation can make a pretty big difference.

This is looking good; even if the seeds take 30 days to arrive (and it looks that way :( ) and if both runs take 14 weeks - I'll have time for both runs indoor and out, and harvest outside by the third week of august, to stay compliant with my county grow laws.

Can't afford the consequences of greed, although I'm pushing it.....

If your in cali mate, you can get a good few crops in, durring a summer. If i didn't get hit with so much hail this year i could have almost got in 2 crops. I am in canada, so a whole oregon and washington north of you.

Dargo's mi5's are what got me into putting them outside. The one by his compost bin was out of hand. I am planning on direct ground panting my mi5's this year.

The mi5 look amazing both outdoors and green house as do all of your plants, really apprciate the pics and videos as auto info is still quite rare. i am a lover of the autos and im on my second grow, i would love some advice on what nutes to give my plants as information seems limited regarding outdoor autos and you seem to have the best results i seen. im growing in a coldframe polytunnel and iv germed all seeds and then placed into coir pots inside my house on a window sill which gets good light and is warm until they get bigger. so here are my seeds

Afghan Kush Ryder
super cali haze
anna purna
big bang
greenomatic
shot adrenaline

and my questions are

Do you lst yours and would you recommend ?
Iv potted with west plus, will this be ok or what do you suggest as i will be placing the coir pots which biodegrade into larger pots so i could change?
Do you have any other tips for nutes (would love to be organic) and general tips.

keep up the amazing work

Cheers

Just thought I would add that if you are growing in a greenhouse, you should always have a fan on to prevent mold.
