I super cropped a few days before flower on one of my taller gals, well she stood completely back up, I had her bent over!! :) Are they supposed to stand back up?

Anyway, I have a big bertha over towering the rest, is it ok to super crop a few weeks into flower?

I have done it before on some Super Lemon Haze and now on 2 strains of Autos with no ill-effects. Yes they will stand back up fairly quickly but I avoid doing it on stems that have reached a certain thickness (approx. 1/8" or higher) the reasoning behind this is that the thicker stems take too long to heal back up and there is some slight risk that they will snap thereby killing the flower. Do it early and often is my suggestion.

I have plants that do that, three days later, straight again. You have to tie those down for a while to train them.

Also, supercropping done mid flower can work great and wont really slow progress down. Be aware, you can send a plant that tends to hermie into sexual confusion this way. If you do it, just be on the lookout for male flowers at branch splits and under buds that you may not see. I try to make it a point to lay under the plants and look upward at least once a week. Sounds nuts but when one male flower can fuck half your crop, you can't be too careful.

Update: Super cropping during flowering worked out great for me, once I did the bending I hung a metal clothes hanger on the branch to keep it bent. It really opened up a nice area and I got a lot of new growth where there wasn't much happening.

I have had great results from bending. It is true that you should start when they are younger and more flexible cause you dont want the stems to snap. Before I bend mine I put a fan directly on them and raise the light a little 3-4 inches so it stretches and flex the top slowly. If you are growing outside you can put metal anchors into the ground just a hook on top to hold her down. Just dont be tooo rough, if they are older they sometimes stress too much and slows growth. If done properly you will come out with multiple head buds instead of just a solo.
