Super secret government technology is subpar these days. Everything cutting edge is privatized. NASA has been around for decades, but here comes Elon Musk putting tens of thousands of satellites in space like it's the wild west. The government doesn't even make top secret weapons, they rely on Lockheed Martin for that.
