Leaves produce energy for growth. You're now forcing the plant to spend energy regrowing what you just removed.

I didn't find anything on Google. Could you share a link, maybe you'll have better luck?
Those leaves under also works with bio electricity ⚡, so if they are not close to the light source or makes shadow to the buds they are lost of energy, yes they are creating it also but there are other leaves around the body of a plant. When the light hits those leaves around the small buds, the energy directly going to use it to make flowers. Flowering day 21 defoliation is not invented tonight.

Bio electricity. Got it. So you don't have scientific proof. You could have just said that.

Also the leaves that were circled for you and that you removed had nothing under them.

You're right defoliation on day 21 wasn't "invented tonight". It's the perpetuation of bro science.

Still waiting for that scientific evidence you claimed was so easily googled. Do you have a link?

Ok. You’re right

Bigger plant is able to produce more sugars, smaller plant obviously less. So removing too much leaves means also lowering the strenght of the food plant requires and so on… I do not think this was a good move, but if you feel good about that, it is your plant. Good luck!

Good that we learnt something here.
With strains like SLH you don't want to defoliate at ALL imo, and in many others opinion in this topic. Maybe some indicas benefit from deflower, MAYBE. I am not sure, I don't do it and my plants look bigger and maybe better than 90% on the interweb. Big leaf = big energy. Why do you think the plant produces leaves at first point?

Big leaves mean huge colas. I've read somewhere that buds actually need leaves for the flowering process and big defoliation can interrupt this metabolism. If you pluck them out they will put more leaves out of buds instead.

Keep that in mind for the future.

And for SLH, it is VERY picky eater.
After stretch, if you had low ec already keep going, but if you are feeding same that you have fed other plants, cut back a bit. SLH can get overfed so easy, and it will stunt the growth for long time. So better keep EC low. Its funny how big buds SLH can do with so few nutrients needed. Great strain but definately not the easiest! Your plants seem nice and healthy, maybe keep on using the same level nutes you have before. They are definately not maxed out yet. I remember when SLH came out, almost all the pictures of it in google were "nitrogen claw" if I am correct with the term? Like this

Yes man. I gave the half dose always, never pushed her actually. Maybe it was not a right move, but I’m telling you never seen her that happy.

And it was the last defoliation before harvest to me.

The light is around 30 cm at the moment, as I can control the heat maybe I’ll take it a bit more closer, around 10-11 inch maybe.

Looks great, perfect timing for a Defoliation. Day 1 (flip) and Day 20 (week 3) I strip all the big fan leaves off the girls. It will get you some great results. Those Mars do a good job, here are some pics of what the TSW-2000 panels did back in I wanna say 2019?

If you want to be on the safe side just pluck the fan leaves with the long red stems. I circled a few just for reference, you don't wanna pluck the leaves coming out of the actual buds just the fan leaves coming off the stalks.
