Setup:
4x4 tent with 2 x 600W air-cooled lamps. Ebb & flow hydro using AN nutes.

Issue:
I am currently growing 2 stains in the same grow tent, Super Lemon Haze and Snow Cap (Indica dom.). Both started flowering at the same time.

I just started week 6, and the Snow Cap is producing some amazing buds, but the SLH has been very disappointing. I know these near pure Sativa can take up to 14 weeks, but I wanted to get the opinion of some grow veterans.

My tent is in a dark garage, so light leakage is unlikely.

The only problem I'm having is a heat buildup. I'm sucking fresh (filtered) air from outside, but it's been getting really hot outside during the day, and the grow tent gets about 90F. This I can't help. The garage is hot, and it's hot outside. An A/C unit is not possible right now. I've been running the lamps at night to help with the heat.

Could this heat be the reason I'm getting such shit flowers on the SLH? It doesn't seem to bother the Snow Cap very much.

This is Week 6... should I:
1.) Continue growing this SLH, or

2.) Should I cut my losses and scrap this plant for one that is more hearty better acclimated to this summer heat.

I'm seriously thinking about yanking them. That's 600W I could be using for something productive.

pull em, taking up to much time and space. i think you are right about the heat causing the problem, just chucked one off mine cause the temps got to hot.

sativas should be able to handle the higher temps. maybe put them in darkness for 24-36 hours and see if they start blooming? some sativas dont flower till they are mature regardless of the light cycle

UPDATE: I went ahead and pulled the SLH last week, with the exception of 1 that I left in the corner and out of the way just to observe

Glad I did it. The 1 SLH I kept is still flowering like crap. It has about 3 buds on it that look like they just started week 2. I'm now in week 7.

I was able to spread out my budding Snow Caps a little more since I had the extra room, and let the light penetrate down a little further. Those lower buds are now growing much faster and bigger than they were before.

Also, I turned off one of the 600w HID.

I'm really glad I yanked those plants out. They would have been a complete waste of time, energy, and money to continue.

I'll post pics of the final harvest and update weather the single SLH I left got any better.
