i see, thanks aagain
i guess its time to start constructing now, and will start with hps and test the temp, then get to work of the number of fans.

I have another questions, in all the grow room/tent setup i see that the ventilation exhaust fan has filter which remove the plants smell, but at the same time the hps cooling fan does not have any filter, in this case will the plant smell go out throw it?

Hi guys

I have always wanted to grow my owns beautiful plants for many years now, but life got in the way many times.

anyway i have finally decided to do it this time for real and i got some questions about my indoor setup.
Grow room will be size: 75*75*150 (2.5*2.5*5ft) made of PVC pipe and reflector paper similar to the car sun-visor.
i only plan to grow one or two plants at the time (mostly one)
Lighting system seems to be the most complex of all, i have been reading a lot about the HID VS LED and many people give different opinion and we all know how it goes when there is topic about HID VS LED

I feel like i drifted a bit from my question:
Can i use 2 lights at the same time? 400 MH/HPS (CHINESE MADE) PLUS full spectrum {380-840nm} 100w*2 LED (according to the Amp draw of this LED: 3000ma @110V=108W i would say its legit 100W)

Please feel free to correct me if i am wrong about anything.
Your inputs are much appreciated.

Thanks
Hold up a second, give me your rooms dimensions again, in inches please

hmm you may want to cobsider something taller if your going to stack. and the reason you dont see a filtwr on the lighting fan is because the air is pulled from some where else then through the lights.

how big are those fans? just wondering because you compared them to pc fans but they move 423 cfm?
They're not pc fans. Pc fans operate at 12v and normally move 80-200cfm. His fans are 240v and move twice as much.

@op
They make some pretty quiet 6" inline fans these days. Couple that with an enclosed hood and a carbon can filter plus the fan you showed for in-take and I think you'd be sweet.

I personally think you're better off getting a decent exhaust fan because you don't want to be halfway through ya grow and realize it's too hot in the grow and not have a fan with adjustable speed to adjust temperatures. You can use light height to control heat but only to an extent.

Also, running both led and hid wouldn't be an issue. More lumens per m2. Just make sure you control the heat and you should be fine.

What do u mean by Stack?
About the filters, yes i understand that the one on the light is just for cooling not filtering, and there is another bigger filter in the room/tent. But even the small fan on light it also pulls air out of the room, not as much as main filter, but its still do. so does it also pull odor or no?

Yes you are right, maybe i confused people by saying that the fan looks like PC Fan, but i was just trying to give them an idea of the shape, so thanks for clearing that out,
i am not sure i can find any decent grow tent small size exhaust fan with low noise where i live, therefor i have to do with what i can find, and for now the best option i see is the fan that i mentioned. i know it might be a not strong enough, but its my best option.

Before i start my grow i will assemble the tent and test the temp while the light on for a day or so, and if everything went fine the i am good to go.

As for the LED light, i think i will delay it for not due to the super limit budget i have, and make the first harvest only using the HI, or maybe add the led during the flowring time which will be about a month and half or 2 months from now.

Thanks again guys

ok, what I meant by stacking is if you would be using the bottom of the tent for veg and the top for flower.

@Newbiez I know it isnt a pc fan I asked because he compared it to a pc fan but also said it has 400+ cfm. I was wondering because if it was a similar size to a pc fan id have to check those out nore in depth haha. I now realize that its not a tiny little fan.
