super silver haze #9 by sensi seeds, any thoughts or experience?

i thought i already created this thread once, but apparently not. i was window shopping for new gear the other day and stumbled on a cheap sensi seeds' super silver that's more of a haze pheno. as it's a more afghani dominant, usually strain than jack herer, but the #9 version is supposed to be hazier, it sounds like something interesting to compare to jack f7 & cleaner 2.

if their jack herer is considered the best in the world, though very expensive, i would think that their version of super silver ought to be awesome if it's directly bred from the same parents as herer.

i imagine i'll buy a single just to check it out regardless, but wanted to here from anyone who's tried sensi gear and this strain in particular. even if it's still more afghani than herer, if it has equally quality genetics, it would serve well to get a little bit of hybrid vigor crossed to other jacks instead of back crossing.

just thinking out loud, i really want to try that now. silver has won more awards than any other strain at the cup if i'm not mistaken, not that the cup is the last word in objective blind testing. i'm still trying the best high having hybrids i can find. i'll likely try wreckage by TH seeds in the near future as that's available femmed too with all of my big budget spending going towards 5 packs of cleaner two and third dimension.

despite the reported hermies from CH9, i'm still testing their jack and jack 33 soon. i was really impressed at how indica stout their jack was, but without skunking or stoning with a potent middy euphoric high. i didn't get a hermie that i noticed of the jack. that would make a serious contrast to haze herers and i want to do some pollen chucking with that for improvements in practicality, with the best highs available.

i'm really excited to test jack f7 as i picture it being less stony than cleaner 2, but hopefully at least as visual or even better, touchy feely like yucky tasting diesel onyx which has an awesome high in it's own right

thoughts on silver #9 or sensi's line as a whole are appreciated. i'll test it for the team myself, and would like to directly compare it to it's peers. oh that peer pressure! i never would have blazed columbian goldto begin with were it not for my fast food co-workers' pressure to blaze up and have a beer after work so i could trip out driving by a semi on the highway pulled over by up to 8 police cars, while i'm trippin' out of my mind, cruising by them at 35mph on a highway so one could pass me on either side, but, i digress.

i like getting high... yeah... that's my point. that's always my point.

I've had two Sensi strains. NL5 Haze and Jack Flash. The NL5 Haze was super expensive (I think well over 200/10) and grew very tall and lanky with a million tiny leaves that take oodles of hours to prune. The potency was very desirable in a sativa dominant way but it was sort of a pain in the ass logistically to grow. NL5 Haze is the main contributor to the parentage of Jack Herer and SSH. Jack Flash (derived FROM Jack Herer), on the otherhand, grew very compact and looked very exotic and resinous but didn't pack as much punch in the buzz department as its looks would lead you to believe. Overall I probably wouldn't order from Sensi again due to high cost and desire to try newer strains. With a company carrying mostly the same strains since the 90's at that high of a price, I fear getting older undesirable seeds. I would think you could get something of equal (or even better) quality at a much lower cost.

I could be completely wrong but I thought it was Super Silver Haze by Green House Seed Company was the one to win all the awards. Then Shanti left and took his F1 along with a few other strains he created and made Mr Nice. Anyway I have the GHSC version and it's an impressive yielder. Although a little more reactive then other strains, so I'd recommend this strain to seasoned growers. I ran it outdoors, ran into a mold problem in October but was able to keep it under control and had a pretty good harvest. Awesome resin production and very potent for a Sativa hybrid but flavor is just average in my opinion. I also grew Lemon Skunk by Green House Seed Company which is Indica leaning. More sedation in the high and flavor is off the charts. Disappointing yield but no mold problems and plant was very hardy.

Super Silver Haze is a strain that begs to be ground up and mixed with a more flavorful and aromatic strain. Smoking pure Super Silver Haze produces a great energetic high. I can smoke it all day and remain functional.

actually, the NL5 is more of a contributor to super silver than jack herer as that was the mother, i think for SSH while haze was the mother for jack herer. same genetics, different breeding order. without looking it up, i've forgotten what the third strain was, but the difference was breeding more towards indica with SSH and more sativa with herer. if they've selected their SSH for more haze phenos, that sounds like an improvement to me. i'd like as little NL5 in a strain as possible.

the high cost of sensi jack herer is why i chose $58 sannies' jack f7 instead, but as a single fem, SSH #9 is available for only $18. that's at the high end of the spectrum for singles, but not unreasonable. especially if it has quality to back it. $20 is entry level to try anything even if you're not getting a 10 pack. i've spent much more and gotten nada a couple times. i recently paid close to $30 for a TH seeds' buddha's sister fem at attitude when i could have gotten a 5 pack of regs and hopefully a male breeder from gypsy for about the same price. that was a little spendy for a fem
