Super Skunk 400w HPS. 4th go around.

Hello all, yungmoola here. Just thought I would start a journal for my super skunk clone that I got in February and tell yall how she's doing. I cloned her a couple weeks ago and everything is going swimmingly. I am vegging the clones and my Super Skunk momma under a $10 shoplight from Home Depot. 2 T12 40w florescent tubes. Also I bring her outside to sun bathe whenever I can, or whenever the weather isn't shitty.
Any questions, comments and/or concerns are more than welcome.

So here's the first post with some pics of my SS bitches.






They might look a little N deficient and that is because they are, but I transplanted them into those little soil containers with Roots Organic. We'll see if they'll be as dark green as my momma eventually. I know they will.

I know I'm supposed to post in my own grow journal section, but I like the forum format better. So tell me what you guys think.

Everything is going good with my Super Skunk batch. I cloned her a couple times yesterday. Here are some pics...

hell ya looking good. so thats what i can expect..i have a few just starting, well im sexing them out right now..

clones look a bit yellow but the super skunk looks niccee. maybe its just the camera or the light that its under makin the clones look yellowish. good job though man lookin good, ever thought about panda flashing in the room with your clones? would reflect the light alot more.

they always look like that tell you start feeding them nitregon.. this is perfectaly normal...

iknow i was just leting you know why they are yellow..

Yeah, they started showing signs of N deficiency, so I transplanted the rockwool cubes they were in into the roots organic potting soil.

Update June 02, 2010.

I transplanted my rooted clones into some roots organic soil. Except for one plant which I used Gold's organic soil with 25% earthworm castings. Earthworm castings are the shit and you can't really burn your plant with too much of this stuff. It's like dolomite lime and it's Ph of 7, you can add a shit ton and still be ok.

Anyways here are some pics. I got my flowering room cleaned up and ready to go. I get paid here in a week and a half and I'm gonna get a new bulb. Either a Hortilux eye with blue spectrum or Philips Retro White halide conversion bulb which has enhanced spectrums all around, and it is cheaper.





The mother looks burnt because it is. The Mushroom compost she is in is super rich and is not to be used as a sole medium, only a soil amendment. So I'm debating whether to flower her, leaver her outside to flower, or just keep her around for more clones. I dunno. All questions comments whatever are welcome.

Alright I have made my decision on which bulb I am going to flower in. The Philips Retro White conversion bulb. Yeah I checked that out. But the spectrum they offer in their 400w conversion bulbs pales in comparison to the Retro White.

I put my SS clones and the big momma in my flowering room. They are going to be vegged for about a week or so, then I will switch to flowering.

Update June 7, 2010.

Ok so I found that my big mother plant has a small infection of spider mites. I'm glad I caught it early, because I know I will be able to contain it. Unfortunately, my mother is obviously where I got my clones from, so most have a small infection as well. Again, I am confident I can contain them because I found them very early. I use Fox Farm's Don't Bug Me! and it works for me. I sprayed all my plants with it and took off leaves that showed signs of damage (aka white spots). And while I was at it, I moved my momma outside for the season, because I don't want my clones in my flowering room to be more infected than they already are. But they look great and will be just fine. I also put my rockwool clones in soil. Here are some pics.

OH! and i sent my clones into flowering. I am using a 14/10 schedule giving them 2 more hours of light to really pack on the buddage. I don't believe it will take that much longer, besides I am going to switch the light to 12/12 eventually.
