Super soil web

hey I have been using supersoil for about two rounds now and have only had the chance to cook it for the minimum 30 days. I didn't get a white web when I used it and I didnt have time to cook it longer... anyway outdoor season is wrappin up and I will start getting ready to cook a batch of SS for a small indoor.

anway could anyone post a picture of some supersoil that has cooked for awhile and has formed a mychorrihizae web or whatever you want to call it.... the white growth stuff I have read about SS growers getting.. thanks!

I spray my SS (modified version) with a bit of fish fertilizer before I store it in the garbage bin and with all the goodies in there I always get the ''
  • Mycorrhizal Fungal Hyphae

When I am done mixing it, my soil is a bit more than moist, but not soaked. I usually see the myco for about 2 weeks and as the soil dries out it vanishes. Before you use your SS you should make a batch of compost tea and water the SS with it.

I make smaller batches and I am on my 5th batch so maybe I just got lucky but I believe with the right conditions you should always get it.

As Sub has said, as long as you mix it right, dont worry about it. Watering with compost tea is always a good idea though.

Same here I cook my super soil outside and during the first two weeks I get the web , well like 5 or 6 quarter sized webs on the top but after a couple weeks it goes away. I agree dude if you do the shit right you should get the web.

This year I made 3 Batches for my outdoor grow.

One batch (on the right is actually 2 full batches) and the one on the left is just 1 batch.

Made the same exact way but the one on the left didn't get the web so I mixed them together.

heh... Good call to mix em together,

I wonder what makes it happen then, were both of your piles evenly watered or one might have been wetter than the other one? Did you make them at the same time or one was made afterward and might have been under different temps/weather?

I know the very first time I made supersoil I freaked right out when I saw that on my soil I thought ''WTF am I going to have to throw this out!! it's all moldy!!! FUCK!!!'' and now it's like ''woohoo time to grow some dank!!''

The one without a web was made a week prior to the other (in march https://www.rollitup.org/subcools-old-school-organics/504132-budologists-2012-outdoor-grow-tga-10.html), the one that didnt web up was half Roots and half Kellogs Patio Plus for base, the one that did web was Vermisoil and Happy frog for base
