supercrop scare help please!!

So ive been supercropping, made a bend in the main stem....it started growing up again so i bent again, only this time when i pinched and twisted it sagged and flipped upside down. Any opinions on if this is ok?

I heard you shouldnt support it because it will grow back stronger, but can it get the light and nuts it needs upside down? and if not will it still force its self upright again to get them? :sad:

(sorry dont have a pic right now, ill try to get one later...but its literally upside down about 3 nodes from the top)

i would support it somehow. it will pinch flow of completely. although depending on your plant, it might not be a bad idea to top it anyway. good luck

well ive desided to go with supercropping rather than topping, i guess the main question is can they absorb what they need even tho the whole top couple nodes are totally facing the soil?

is it even a good idea to be supercropping the main stem? ive heard mixed opinions maybe someone here could give me a definite answer?

Yeah it'd be good to get an experienced opinion in here. i'm curious myself if you can suppercrop it while in veg all the way till flowering. will this produce a healthier bushy plant, or is topping the way to go... or hell can you do BOTH ?!?!:eyesmoke:

And as for you upside down nodes. i would support it a little bit, make it an L again. I would think it cut off circulation up the stem if its in an upside down position.

you need to saport it with a band and it well be all right your just top it and make the broken top into a clone but if you leave it the top thats broken wont be able to surive and it well dry up and you need keep the top moist you need to foliage feed to make sure the tops getting water... cheers buddy

It should be fine. Supercropping looks scary, but the plant usually deals with it pretty well, and will generally repair itself quickly. Supercropping the main stem is no problem, and will encourage branching from lower nodes.

To the other q's in the thread: you can supercrop at any point in veg, and some people also do it in early flower. You can also use topping as well. I heavily supercrop and top my mother plants as and when the mood takes me. Both techniques are useful.

the whole tope is faceing the dirt.. you actullary think that it well live like that? im just saying imo theres no way i can see the top living if its barley even connected to the plants main steam. im not staying the plant well die just the top

Yes, I think it will live. I'm not 100% guaranteeing it, but they have always been fine for me when I have supercropped a bit too brutally. If it's still attached, it generally recovers.

I advise you to give it a few days and see what it does. You'll know if it dies, at which point you can chop it off with no worries anyway.

yea i wanna see if it well live now haha let it go for a couple days keep the leaves moist though and yea worste come to worste the top die

unless you snapped the stem completely, it will be totally fine and next time you go in your room it will be pointing back up towards the light. If anything, you need to tie the branch down to keep it down. Not support it. I can't say that with 100% certainty, you might of over cropped it, but that's what I always find with supercropping.

i have done all kinds of technics...lst with paperclips, supercropping(pinching)topping, fimming.
i think that you arnt doing it right unless u are being rough. supercropping is a pinch and twist and you ARE suppose to bend it over.
lst with paperclipps i snap the stems then paperclip them they grow down and back up around facing the light , meanwhile the other node bud sites grow up tword the light creating more tops without topping.

So I did some more research and decided to make my first break and start super cropping. I heard it snap a bit, but its not completely broken and upside down. This makes the other nodes think there tops? Also does Super cropping really increase your yield? Thx for helpin me guys heres a pic. :joint:

thanks for your help everyone, im gonna get some pics up tomarro after the night cycle.
theres some pretty deep gashes in the stem where i bent it, hopefully it wasnt to much...

I super cropped a branch in my room the other day, just cos it was getting a bit tall...........



to make it a bit clearer......The red circle is where I bent it and tied it to the central stake. The black circle is where I tied it down the next day....and it is still growing up, yellow circle. You only need to do the bend one time.....

very nice, my plant responded vaery well to the bend im pretty excited to see the other nodes extend
