'3 to 5 drops' is a STRONG dose of superthrive! As said above it can still burn those leaves. Honestly, superthrive works best down at the roots, and I would only ever use 1 drop per 2 litres of water personally. Root systems seem to love it :-)

Fingers crossed for you but dont be surprised to see some after effects of that high dose. You are far better off using something like liquid seaweed as a weak foliar spray, and even then make sure they dry right off before going back under lights.

I recently jus started using seaweed extract for spraying. However I have used superthrive in the past. It should say drop-a-gal on the bottle. Follow that and u shouldn't burn them. 3-5 drops per spray bottle might be to much. Definately would rinse with straight pH water for day two. Also remember hid's burn wet plants. Make sure u spray with flouresents on only till plants are completely dry. Good luck buddy. Oh and u can add one drop of superthrive to any other mix. Jus remember one drop per gallon.

That's a HUGE dose of Superthrive - recommended dose is one drop per gallon of water. It doesn't usually get foilular fed either - it's a plant hormone, good for the roots, not a nutrient.:peace:

Seaweed extract is a great way to foliar feed organic. I've also used molassas it helps keep
bugs away more than actually feeding the plant I think. Wash the original feeding off those leaves asap

For seedlings and young plants I dont use any superthrive. After a few weeks I start adding 1 drop superthrive per gallon of water, and I work my way up to 3 -4 drops. I dont know if thats right or not, but it works for me. I have been able to go as high as 10 drops per gallon on larger plants with no adverse reaction whatso ever. I dont reccomend 10 drops per gallon, Im simply saying I have been able to do it.

Its also important to remember that superthrive is not a fertilizer. It is a mixture of vitamins and hormones. It contains vitamin b1, 1-Napthyl acetic acid, with a total of 25% disolved solids (50 compounds of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen.)

The hormone 1-Naphthyl acetic acid (NAA) does not occur naturally. Under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), products containing NAA require registration with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as pesticides. The sale of Superthrive is prohibited in Oklahoma, Minnesota, and Oregon as an unregistered pesticide.

Superthrive was developed in the 40's by Dr. John A. A. Thomson, now 97 years old and still at work. In 2006, he was the first chemist to receive the National Lawn & Garden Marketing & Distribution Association's Lifetime Achievement Award
