Supplemental lighting.

my girls are out growing my light so until another arrives I put your standard 4ft T8 dual bulb florescent light in the room vertically. The bulbs are Led replacement for standard T8 40w not sure the watts on the leds tho. My question is how far away should it be? I can touch the bulbs after being on for hours no heat comes off it at all. Don't want to damage them but I really think they need more light around the left side and back. All were the same size until a couple weeks ago. I've tied down the taller tops as much as possible to try to let them catch up but still a few shorter tops.

Never used T8 but assuming very similar to T5 tubes.
You can pretty much get them as close as possible without touching.
They have close to no penetration.

I think they are the same pretty much. That's along the lines I was thinking wanted to hear someone with the knowledge to tell me tho lol

I'm jealous u have all that space! Look up hygro lighting solutions, ebay, fb, etsy. Get u some qb's in there

By the time it was said and done they went wall to wall (left to right) and lights were almost flush on the ceiling lol
