Hey everyone.

Having already built most of my indoor hydro setup, I realized that there exists so many more parts that I need in order to get this getup properly operational.

Where are the best online sites to buy this stuff?
Home Depot has been my friend in helping me save a bundle on actually building a cabinet and basic setup for my hydro rez and pump.

But now i need to start buying nutes, ph meters, solutions, TDS meters and temperature gauges. JEeeeze. This whole setup I had originally thought should cost me no more than 100-200 bucks... its starting too look a lot more like 300-400 by the time i have everything purchased.

Wheres the secret?!

Lol I'm finding the same thing... you think, cabinet, lights, seeds, soil, all in all a few hundred...

then you remember the two dozen LITTLE things you need... the security locks, the screws, the tools, the duct tape, the fans... all at just 10-20 a pop, but they add up!!

try ebay!

I found an interesting bit of equipment on Ebay, that seems too cheap to be real.
Now this thing is supposed to test everything from ec, tds, temp, to ph! all for about $100.00
Anyone try using this before?
Any opinions as to whether this is trustworthy or a reliably piece of investment?

theres no need for that.
get a standard thermometer(10$)
buy a combined two probe ph and moisture meter(20$)
and a liquid ph test kit(10$).
and nutes for vegging and flowering(50$)
thats all i use and it works very well i dont worry about tds meters or ppm testers.
if all other growing conditions are good thats all you need.

what secret plan did you have for keeping your total between 100-200 or even 300-400 if you planned on actually controlling odor? the smallest can fan combo i can find on the internet is 100 dollars and most want 2, one for intake scrubbing and one for exhausting.

so again I'm already wondering, whats your secret?

Currently my budget is $340 (well 380 after i decided to buy some extra CFLs), but im making everything myself. DIY = cheaper.

It's possible, just not easy.

For around $800 I built this tent, outfitted w/ adequate ventilation and a 600 HPS...

10" from the cooltube, the temp is 75F...

Best of luck...

Heres a breakdown of my current costs.
4ft high, 2ft long and wide, panels, 1 inch thick. $7 a piece ($35)
4 Hinges, opens from top and from side, ($8 )
Fabricated electrical tape for sides to prevent light leaks ($2)
Cfls on sale:blsmoke: 8 60watt equiv for ($7)
Outlet strip placed inside aluminum shell ($3)
2X CPU fans converted to plug into outlet ($5) one blowing in, one blowing out.

Hydro Set. - ($50)
10 gallon rez, rubber tubing, 8piece rockwool, 6 nets, 160gph water pump, water rocks (the little orange ones)
--- nOte. I coulda bought these all seperately but i figured i'd pay the extra $10 and get them all together. It wasnt a bad deal really.
Aluminum for light fixture ($6)
Seeds - Bubblegum ($60 dollars including shipping from "Planet Wax")
---------------
= $176

I still need to buy nutes, tds & ec & ph testers. Figure roughly $150 dollars. found some decent testers that work all 3 and temperature for $99 dollars.
Nutes there are a variety I found throughout RIU ranging from 15-60 dollars for both veg and flowering.

---------------
= $326

Lets see... I'm pretty sure there are still hundreds of little things I'll have to buy as I go before I finish off my first grow. Theres always little things we need. So i'm guessing about $400 dollars by the time I'm done. But most of this is bought from Home Depot and ebay.

But of course, after all these costs,

By the way, I have a collection of books that you can download as PDF files that I compiled. Everything from building, nutes, hydroponics, aeroponics, and more. The Cannabis Bible. :eyesmoke: I'm a reader so these are pretty interesting. If anyone wants I'll put them all into 1 Rar file and post upload. But I dont know how to do that in a forum. You can find most of them buried in Ebook compilations on torrents. Bitch to isolate, but worth it for the information.
