Suspicious leaf damage

First time grow - two plants. Only one has any leaves with this type of "damage" done to it. There are maybe 6-10 leaves that have nearly identical cuts in them like this. Daily inspections have been inconclusive. What do you think? More pictures available upon request.



These girls are getting cramped... waited too long to begin flowering - but hey, it's my first time. Could the damage be from the fan? I'm thinking not.

They are otherwise healthy plants.
