Swear my Critical + 2.0s are training themselves, auto tap roots

So supposedly auto-flowering plant have their tap roots grow at a angle instead of down like the photo periods. I planted 2 critical + 2.0 seeds and they germed (both seeds less then 48 hours to germ, good job Dinafem!).

because of the tap root they both seem to be LSTing themselves with out me needing to tie them down lol. Then on top of that the first one didnt grow the right leave structure at its 2nd set and it looks like it topped itself LOL. check this out:



Here is the younger one in a smaller pot as you can see stem is coming out at almost a 90 degree angle keeping it super low to the ground! Reason why it is in the smaller pot is because I was doing an experiment to see if transplanting autos truly effects yield. Issue with the experiment is the control is acting funky!

First look at the leaf structure! Stupid fuck, you did it wrong. This guy is also LSTing him self, and I think got mad that he fucked up on his leaves so started 2 new nodes under it. Below are me clasping the 3 upper leaves to show the new nodes. Is this not what happens when you top?



At least the leaves look correct on the new nodes.

This is only my 2nd grow, so this may be common but I thought was cool. Anyone else have any self training from their autos???

Also to add they are not the same age, as of today the one in smaller pot (calling 1P) is 11 days from sprout. While the one in the smart pot (calling 3G) is at day 13 from sprout.

But I consider the one in the bigger pot actually 3 days older because the seed had a 1.5 inch root after 36 hours while the one planted in the smaller pot had smallest of tap roots showing when planted (still sprouted next day). So one in 3 gallon pot has a head start. Both are now under 3x 23 watt CFLs (2:1 ratio of 6.5:2.7k) on 24 hour light cycle, with small fan blowing on them.

The fourth pic on first post looks like a mutant. There is genetic flaw called auto topping but give em a chance and see if they work out for ya.

i wonder if that mutation would be carried on if it was self pollinated

I would say they are mutations but id also like to ask what soil youre using cause that stuff doesnt look like more than wood chips and perilite and that could be causing a lot of stress on the plant if it cant spread roots properly
