Its about an inch maybe a little less. I hear you can put them right up to them as long as they dont get to hot.Im not sure if this is true with the 85w. I dont think the light burned it because i have some good Ventilation. It dosnt get over 80 above the top of the plant. but ill be sure to watch out for it. Thanks for your input.
Ok yeah I heard you can put floros close too. Hopefully they get better in a few days

if ur plants are dieing from the bottom up theres a good chance itll need feeding or repotting into a bigger pot and fresh medium. What are u growing in compost?

Its a mix of ff ocean forest soil and mg perlite. I also have the ff nut( grow big, tiger bloom, big bloom) when should i use this? Also when would be a good time to transplant?

i would transplant them into bigger pots and a quarter strength nutes for now mate. Yoiu should see them pick up after a week or so after the transplants

Ill transplant soon, i need to get a bigger pot. You think i should put it in to a 3gal or 5gal(18L)?
The ff schedule said to start using the
Big Bloom first in the 1and2nd week, should I still start with this even though im in the 3rd,or should i go straight to the Grow Big?

18 litres should be fine. Have u topped or fimmed the plants yet?
I dont think im going to top the Jack47 because i have been looking at other ppls journals that have grown jack47 and they say it had alot better yeild and it was just all around a better plant when it wasnt topped. I still though about it because im going to start another plant and its going to be 4weeks behind by the time I get it going...what do you think?

well the beauty of growing is u can do wot ever u facy, its all about finding out for yaself wot works best in ur enviroment. You're the BOSS

ok guys sorry i havnt updated in a while. I have been stressin on my laddie. I found out she has ALOT of nut deficiecys...
Nitrogen: Entire plant is light green in color; lower leaves are yellow; growth is stunted....

Phosphorous: Entire plant is bluish-green, often developing a red or purpleish cast; lower leaves may be yellow, drying to a greenish-brown to black color; growth may be stunted...

Potassium: Leaves have a papery appearance; dead areas along the edges of leaves; growth is stunted...

is what im lookind at,im not sure how bad all this is. i didnt know what was wrong till it really got the problem, i added some nuts and it seemed to help a little, starting to grow again but the leafs are getting worst, edges are turning to a rust color and dying off. new growth seems to be doing better. Should i cut off the bottem leafs that have been effected by this? bottem of the plants seems to have it realy bad. but it goes all the way to the top?? IF anyone knows how much this is going to effect the rest of my laddies life, how much its going to effect the final yield/ potency. I would really like to know if it will be wearth it to keep her around  If anyone had this problem, i would like to see how your plants turned out because i have never had this problem. This strain seems to be really picky, and im a new grower so i need you guys to guide me through this a little.
I will continue to update every 3 days to a week depending on if she makes it...

Ill post some pics on the problem. then ill do a weekly update but If you guys can please help out i need it!!

its definitely a deficiency my thought would be
otassium deficiency (K). Older leaves are initially chlorotic but soon develop dark necrotic lesions (dead tissue). First apparent on the tips and margins of the leaves. Stem and branches may become weak and easily broken, the plant may also stretch. The plant will become susceptible to disease and toxicity. In addition to appearing to look like iron deficiency, the tips of the leaves curl and the edges burn and die.
Potassium - Too much sodium (Na) displaces K, causing a K deficiency. Sources of high salinity are: baking soda (sodium bicarbonate "pH-up"), too much manure, and the use of water-softening filters (which should not be used). If the problem is Na, flush the soil. K can get locked up from too much Ca or ammonium nitrogen, and possibly cold weather.

best fix would be a soil replacement

alright ill look in to that, thank you for your info. you seem to be right on the money. I have a question though. Should i keep this plant around, will it be able to recover and become a healthy producing plant again or is just going to be a little plant with a little yield/potency? I dont want to wast 2 more months if its not going to be wearth it and i also dont want to wast a seed that a paid good money for....i only have the light and room for 2 plants so i just cant start another. its either get rid of this one and start over knowing what i know now or continue to grow this one. Has anyone ever had this happen and still went on to flowering? this prob. dosnt seem to be little because its nearling all over the leafs. ill get a picture of the entire plant. its now 5 weeks and 2 days....what do you think?

you say it's a mix of foxfarm ocean forest and mg perlite? mg perlite is pretty hot, add that to the ff...i don't see how it could be a deficiancy with all that hotness going on, unless a ph issue caused some kind of lockout. have you tested the ph of the runoff water?
