can you describe how you did this? did you just pull them out of the soil...rinse the roots...and transplant to the rockwool?

did you used any supplements to handle transplant shock?

thks

Basically I cloned a plant into soil, when it was about 3" tall and had a decent amount of roots I placed it in chopped up rockwool and put it directly into my dwc bucket.Make sure you rinse the roots out with RO or filtered water so you get as much soil out as you can. It worked perfect for me and I have not had a single problem.

Well dont just rip the plant out, take the root cube, wash it of completely, and gently( try to disturb least amount of roots, root hairs are very fragile, and sterilize) ad a mild root solution when u soak the rockwool cube and ur babies should have almost no transplant shock! peace

usually small sprouts can be lightly tugged out of the soil and put into different medium with littel to no shock ...seing as you have not dammaged the plant in anyway (transplanting larger plants usually results in some amout of damage to the root system ) using a little bit of rooting horimone wouldnt hurt either ...just make sure everything is sterilized, you wash roots well with purified or distilled water..and dont touch the roots you should be fine

I took my seedlings....3-4 inches, submersed the whole pot into a cooler of water, gently hoding the stem, and gently shook it. Most all of the dirt came off very easy....I transplanted directly into Lava Sand....which is my DWC medium....had about a weeks worth of TP shock, but they are doing fine!
I didnt use rockwool at all, instead went straight into my crushed lava medium.
