switching from 18/6

Hi all,I'm currently on 18/6,lights come on at 7am until 1am,when I switch to flower I want to have the lights running from 8pm until 8am,would it stress my girls horribly if they were plunged into darkness from 1am on the final day of 18/6 until lights on at 8pm the following night.any advice would be greatly appreciated.thank u

Depends if you have hermi prone strains being ran, i do it all the time with no issues but i murder hermis on site so...? Just depends on you anf your setup but in general naw should be fine :)

Jesus^^ nailed it, avoid going to far dark,
that 'gap' triggers the light sensitive hormone,
can't remember its name ...lol,
but just flick and you will be fine

some prefer to use graduated light times,
this is false as on the equator where sativas flourish,
dusk and dawn happen in seconds whereas in the temperate 60's lat,
dusk and dawn can take hours, so a flick is justified​

Too far dark is like going more than 24 hours darkness going from 18/6 to 12/12,
as the intention is to trigger the hormones,
too much well trigger a herm state,
as the plant will be unduly stressed
leaves can actually burn in the dark???
