Switching Lights from AM to PM? Whats the best way to do this?

Currently the lights in my flower room are on from 6a-6p. I would like to switch them over to 6p-6a. What is the best way to make the switch?

Should I do it all at once or a few hours at a time over the course of a month?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance.

Doing this overnight will cause a decent amount of stress to your plants. It'd be better to do it by changing your times by maybe 2 or 3 hours a day for a few weeks. Go 8am-8pm one day then 10-10 12-12 2-2 4-4 6-6.
Should only take like a week 1/2 or so.

the best way to do it is to keep it in the dark til the next cycle. it wont bother the plant much to be in the dark for a day.

exactly, as long as they are darker for longer than 12 hours, there will be no issues, so i would just leave dark for a total of 24 hours and then reset timers, i have done this before and everything was fine

Just leave your lights off for 24hrs and your good to go.............It's not gonna effect anything but the times you switched too............
