Switching to ro

Looking for any tips while i switch from dehumidifier/tap water to ro water.

Any steps i should take while changing over? Any tips while using ro water?

Growing in coco with gh nutes. i have two plants in 4th and 7th week of flower. I am not generating anymore dehu water and my tap is 500ppm necessitating my switch

I'm a newbie but let me try. With RO water, your initial water PPM will be lower.
You might have less cal/mag due to some already being in the tap water.
When you add your nutes you might have to add slightly more to overcome the above.

RO water is 0 ppm. It’s pure pure. It comes with its own issues. I had the hardest time using it. Problems went away after switching back. I would try to use an inline rv water filter on your tap water before switching.

I have always used RO but I never grew in coco, well once but we won’t talk about that. I wouldn’t say you need calmag without knowing how much of what you feed. Have you considered halfing RO to tap and see what you can brew up. You could prob get pretty decent water going and just carry on.

Just my experience.
My location has unreliable tap ppm/ph levels. Not cool for coco. So I went RO.

With RO, my PH stability is excellent with Jacks 321. (No experience with GH and RO, only tap.)

About 3/4ml of ArmorSi up front, gives me a final PH of 5.9 after all nutes mixed properly. I normally run my ph 5.8 thru 6.2.

Airstones = PH drift up. Obnoxious too.
