Switching Veg Light cycle

Hey guys, Quick question Wanted to drop my light cycle from 24 hrs to 18-20 for veg. Does anybody know if this will stress the plant or even worse throw it into flower? If not would it be better to just reduce the hours at once or gradually ( 22 hrs. 20 hrs. and finally down to 18 hrs.)? Any input or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You could flip right to 18 without any issues. When you switch to flip to flower make sure you give it 24-36 hour night before flipping on.

I just switched from 24/0 to 18/6 because of a few auto strains growing too slowly...

no problems to speak of... the autos are growing better too....

Cool so just dropping it down to 18 shouldnt be a problem? I'm using a 750 watt light to beg so I'd like to save on power $$$. Another question of mine is will 24 hrs of light give me shorter veg time then 18? I've heard that after 18 hours your pretty much wasting power as the plant can only use so much. Anybody ever heard of anything like this?

depends on the strain is what I'm finding...
the 'auto' strains love 18/6
my white widows likes 24/0 better in veg...

I'm still 'on the fence' to be honest.
Once I get more data compiled, I'll reply back with my results... 4-6 weeks or so...
