Swollen Stem By Pistils/ Stipules

So I have a plant that is 2 weeks into flowering, nothing specific just a bagseed (seems to be sativa). No balls, does have some pistils but not many due to swollen area around the joints, stem, stipule area. As is, the bulges are getting bigger and spreading around stem and inhibiting bud growth- as well as having some warty looking swollen growth. Any ideas on cause? If its a goner please say so, as I can concentrate light on the healthy indica thats flowering... i.e. no biggie if I can't fix her, this grow was the 1st cfl experiment to get a good idea of set up for the healthy seedlings coming up......

sorry no clear pics, the cam won't macro well enough to show the swollen area. Just looks like a big blur.

Perhaps if that is the case, have a look on google or something and see if you can find another pic from somwhere else that matches what you are seeing, and post it here.

Yes where the branch meets the stem, definitely no balls but few very small pistils... hitting 3-4 weeks of flower but it is a sativa, do they bulk up that much for buds with that little of pistils? Just looks abnormal to me.

And I did google, no real pics to represent it. Sorry. Ill try and snap some better pics.

I think its ok, and hopefully female. I had a lady with the same swollen things. Let it keep goin and check for balls every day, but i think jayrock is likely correct.

if it is a sativa strain your probably looking at like 70-80 days of flower. If that is the case, your fine. Watch for balls always. It sounds to me like your fine though and they do bulk up through the whole grow but really bulk up last 3 weeks.

I know this is a very old thread but if someone sees this and can tell me why these stocks have swollen this way? About to harvest, growing drain to waste in coco, no problem the entire grow. Buds look great and nothing is wrong, it's healthy as far as I know. So these swollen stocks are all over. Even small stems get fat and then small again before the end.
