I built a table out of 2x4's to support the tray-buy a commercial growing tray with drainage channels for 30 to 50 bucks. Don't try to build one out of plywood; which was my first idea --You will never get it to hold water and it will cause you endless problems -- just build a square frame and 4 legs, to support the table. Very cheap but sturdy.
I got a 1/4 inch thick piece of cocomat to cover the base of the table and 4inch rockwool cubes to insert your clones.
my reservoir is an old picnic cooler; very sturdy; mine is HUGE; you don't need one this big
All you need is one that can hold 12 gallons comfortably, about 1 gallon per plant; probably at least 15 gallon capacity.I have a dipstick for mine so I can tell the volume without opening the lid; and a hole to add liquid.
With this size table you can grow 8 to 12 plants, if you have enough light.
You will need a pump that will lift your liquids about 4 feet, submersible in the reservoir.
Also get 2 12" aquarium airstones and a pump that will work for both.

The pump is activated by a timer and pumps to the table and to drip emitters for each plant.
I pump from 2 to 5 minutes 2 or 3 times a day depending on the growth stage.
I have 2 400 watt HID lights one fixed and one on a track.
I use GH nutrients MaxiGrow and MaxiBloom according to GH program.
I check pH and volume daily and make necessary adjustments.
First grow netted 11.6 oz of dry buds Excellent Quality.
Good luck!
