T-5 Lighting - Coverage Area?

What is everyone's experience for coverage using t-5 lighting? Im putting a veg room together that's two tier and want to use 10,000k sunblasters for 3 weeks of veg'ing. However as best as I can tell, a 4' T-5 only covers 4'x3"... if this is the case, I need to get 192 bulbs, ballasts and reflectors to cover my space.

Does anyone have real world light coverage that's different or is this what I'm to expect? I have to keep the heat footprint low because there's going to be a second tier above this and the heat from MH bulbs will be hard to control.

He's basically saying that according to his calculations, he'll need 192 bulbs if the coverage of a 4' t5 bulb is only 4'x3'. He wants clarification or correcting on this. I don't think he plans to actually buy 192 bulbs.

Unfortunately, I can't help as I know nothing of T-5 lighting.

a t5 is 2 x 4 for most 8 bulbs.You want the light about 2- 4 inches from canopy... inverse square law... t5's are linear therefore have less intensity. the further away they are the less the plants will grow.

theres cmh and led. that would be your other options those would cover more for less watts

Good thinking in this one, however, what about my design need to have one table over the other? I'm looking at 12' in length and 4' width with one level over the top of the other. How could I light the bottom and while mitigating the heat rising into the top of the other?
