why did your seeds die. in all my growing i have never lost a seed. especially ones i have payed for. what is your method of germination? there is no reason for the "designer" seeds to die if germinated properly. fill us in if you would like some help.

The only thing that I know for sure is that I didn't see the beans as they were germinated. my caregiver thought he saw "mold" on one of my baggies that i was germing so he planted. He then fed them twice in one week ( he said the medium was drying really quickly) Before I went into the hospital I noticed the VK was starting to sprout but it has since shriveled up. the wild thai seed I had was rather puny in size so I didn't have the highest hopes for that one it was mushed and unviable. the blackberry sprouted root but the shell is still encasing the proto leaves. I placed the beans in R/O water over night then I place them in damp paper towels and place the towels in a plastic baggie.

i like to use tupper ware containers. also make sure you put the seeds in a warm place to germinate. i wait until a tap root has emerged from the seed then i plant. i plant the seed 1/4" below the surface of the medium (i use coco, it would be the same with soil or rockwool) then gently water in the seed. you should not have to water it until after the seed sprout but if you do it should be just plain water no nutes. once the seed sprouts if the seed shell is still attached you can drop a little water on it and gently slide it off the seed. it does not sound like your caregiver knows what they are doing...

OK imma say this......i am in teh middle of my 1st everything. Grow, Seedlings, clones etc. And i havent had as many problems as your caregiver. Beware i know ALOT of "caregivers" that have no clue how to grow, they just wanted to get rich quick by growing legally. but they have NO CLUE, how to grow . Not that i do, but ill admit it.

I do the exact same thing. I take a tuppaware container and black it out, I take my paper towel fold it down the middle, place my seed in it and start misting with distilled water, dont drench the paper towel but get it entirely wet, then I put it in a dark warm place under my seedling heat mat and in 24-48 hours I usually have a tap root. I never had a seedling die, I have had seeds that didnt pop aftter 5 days and what not.

Thanks for the germing tips, irie. I think I am gonna try your tupperware method my next run. Funny thing is that my caregiver and me are both noobs at this but I do not believe that my beans would've died if I wasn't in the hospital and had to depend on my caregiver to watch the plants but que sera, bro we move onwards and upwards, right, gents?

you live and you learn. it seems like having someone to help you is necessary, but just make sure you are not really paying him very much if anything at all. i hope that they are also someone that you have known for a long time. if you ever wanna double check what your caregiver is doing just ask on here and we will tell you whats up.

Growing anything is trial and error you can read as many books as you want but nothing compares to trial and error.

Wow sorry to hear on the beans. I consider my self lucky as every bean I have tried that are not DinaFem seeds sprout minus the crushed ones I got from the Tude. Must be they like me. Small PH vial plain tap water and a small drop of super thrive soak for 8 hrs and put them in a cup on my window sill and every one has broke the soil in two days. I have a friend that thinks I have some kind of special powers they come up so fast. If they are slated for DWC or net pots I just wash the roots off a bit and throw them in the Htron net pots and grow or veg them that way if they are going in soil after they veg for a bit in DWC I just put the Htron and net pot into the soil and they simply just go. Maybe an Isolated case but after 12 beans over a couple of months and they all come up in two days I don't see in the future any thing will change for me.

Thanks a lot, SWUSAZ. Luckily, my caregiver doesn't really charge anything it was a buddy trying to help me out, legally. I am continuing to learn a lot and luckily I got a few good greenthumbs reading my thread. Thanks a bunch guys for the help; I will continue to provide weekly photo updates and journal entries, cheers, bros!

OH did anyone hear about AZ US attorney Burke (the guy who released the memo that put 203 on hold) http://blogs.phoenixnewtimes.com/valleyfever/2011/08/dennis_burke_resignation_tied.php they said it's because he lost those guns they sold to the cartels but I wonder what were the other reasons?
what a disgussting scum bag that guy is. that sicko was knowingly sending guns with cartel members back to mexico. and what fruit did this operation dubbed "fast and furious" bear? more killings and the murderers are nowhere to be found. the worst part about this is this douche did not even get fired he got reassigned. if i fucked up at my job and it costed someone their life, i dont think i would be working there anymore. what a fucking mess az is.

that's a fed thing, irie. I thought it was funny because it's the same dude threatening prosecution over prop 203. I wonder if the obama administration is cleaning house for the 2012 election

This highly affordable light is Sun System's Sun Blaze T5-HO 4ft 8 bulb light. It costs roughly $250 and includes 6500k lights in them. I am buying new lamps from an aquarium store. It seems a lot of people don't give t5s much credit I reccommend checking out Pr0fesseur's thread on growing using multiple spectrums. The methods are backed up by peer reviewed science.
