T5, T12 etc ....

i have never read on these before and i cannot find much info in the forum about them.

i need something for 24 hours and strictly for clones, 12 at a time. the light must be okay for the cuttings and a few weeks veg after they root.

i bought:
48" fluorescent shop light for 40w t12. holds 2 bulbs. $11.00

(2) 40w sunshine F40's by GE (ecolux technology) 2250 lumens, 5000K $10.00 each

with the chains and tax my total was $35.00

my other options were more lumens but less kelvin.

my question: will i be okay with this in a 2x4x5 tent for strictly vegging and rooting clones?
should i return the sunshine F40's for something with more lumens?

Its what i'd been using for years. They work great. I mix em up with a 40w plant bulb and a 32w cool white bulb.

Yes, its my starter room, for clones and youngins. then i move them to another room just like it but ventilated for further vegging.
Then I flower under dual 400w lights (1hps/1mh).
