T5HO light too close?

I dont have the pic atm I will in few hr but I got a new T5HO light. I couldnt find a stud in the ceiling and it was late so I held my light up with a dresser and a big sturdy box. The light at the closest spot was about 6" away, there is a whitish yellowish spot with a few 9other small spots forming all at the closest point to the light.

Also, I wasnt thinking and put the plant under the T5 immediately after transplanting into 15gal fabric. It was also a little droopy 2 days after transplant and they usually barely skip a beat. I added mykos for tplant as well.

I run my T5 right on top of day old seedlings. Around 2-3" away. Never had an issue. I do the same with veg plants. Is it possible you touched the plant with the lights on while putting it up?

Heres the best pic I could get with my cellphone. It definitely doesnt look like it got burned by the bulbs, but by the light itself.

Had trouble posting the pic. I turned the plant around, and moved the light back some. Itll be set up correctly tonight, but even with it rigged it shouldnt be much difference?

The spot wasnt there till I transplanted into 15gal and put under the 4ft8bulb T5HO.

Looks almost like a calcium or mag def but I don't think so. The rest of the leaves look unaffected. I think I see 3 that are affected. Could they have got water on them with lights on?

The T5-T8 series of lights is very difficult to burn anything

..heat or light ..

they just don't have the grunt

look to ur soil mix

Ill keep an eye on them, the mix is my own (only cycled it for about 2.5 weeks though) mixed with buildasoils living soil (I had to mix it, didnt want to.)

My mix is
Sphagnum peat moss
Compost/ewc
Perlite/red lava rock (buildasoils has pumice/rice hulls)

Alfalfa meal
Kelp meal
Fish bone meal
Crab shell meal
Oyster shell flour
Glacial rock dust

Like 6 pellets of Peruvian seabird guano (16th cup?)
8Th cup of Diameticous earth.


Its just a weird spot, and nothing else is affected except for the area right around the bigger spot. If it was my soil, youd think it would be more huh.?

doesn't look that bad man, also it's not like most damage I've seen.
I personally wouldn't do anything other than monitor it.
It's not anything i'd worry about personally

I sure dont see anything in the picture that looks to be any kind of serious problem. Or any problem really.

Most likely a pH fluctuation from the transplant. No biggie, keep an eye but not too intensly. Plants do stupid shit from sudden changes and show it through their leaves. If the whole plant is doing it, then I'd make a move, otherwise patience.

Root damage.Its definately not light burn,keep an eye on it.Should be fine though.
