T5s and how close for seedlings...

I don't plan on vegging long either as I'm about to start a sog so t5s will work nicely for me. Plus they'll cover more area. I'll be flowering with a HPS/MH mixture.

600watt MH is one powerfull light, seedlings will be 3 - 4 feet from the bulb easily and at this stage t5's might suit you better till they get bigger.

Wish i had a 600watt mh and matching tent/fan!

I want to rip some pics of the web to show just what others are doing with flourescents and the kind of distances they use. The first picture below isnt even T5's its T8s and theres little to no stretch even at 30 cm above plants. Everything looks green and beautifull in this first picture with minimal light and nothing an inch or so from the bulbs.

My unit is a lightwave T5 with four bulbs of 24watts so 96watts total, it pumps out 6600lumens when plants are placed 12inches away. I have never had any plant stretch and have to go a lot futher than 12inch to get leggy plants.
Hey so then 3ft for my 4ft 8 bulb 6500 k at 54w per bulb ?
