T5's and Temperature

Not a lot, but there is a lot of different types out now, mine is a full bodied one that holds a lot more heat in that a lot of these newer just reflector type. Some even have holes so the heat excapes up instead of down. I have seen a garden run 2 of the 8 bulb t5s in a 4x8x8 tall tent with just 2 6" duct booster fans to cool the whole thing, worked great for him.

Well in my opinion. I was surprised at the amount of heat produced from my T5. I have a newer one that is vented. My room is 3x6x5.6 roughly and I have a 48 inch 8 bulb light. When my room is sealed with the light on my temps get high. With door open not a problem. Not sure of your exact set up but with decent ventilation you should be ok. Happy Growing

You ARE going to need some sort of intake/exhaust for the room, to make sure you are getting fresh cool air in and exhausting the hot stale air. Without that a cfl grow will produce a lot of heat.
