T8 Fluorescent Lighting for seedlings

Hi everyone, well i have most of my supplies ready! I read Jorge Cervantes Grow Bible and Marijuana Grow Basics, watched the Ultimate grow dvd boxset and read countless posts and sticky here and im about ready to start! I will be growing Flying Dutchmen Pot Of Gold as my first grow. 4x4x6 Grow tent 400w MH/HPS , inline fan 3500CFN with carbon scrubber. I will do soiless grow with ProBX. Nutrients i will be using will be general hydroponics.
First question i have i will be growing from seeds, for the seeds and seedlings im looking to use t8 lighting would that be ok? Can i also use the t8 lighting for growing future clonnings/seedlings? Can i use 2 regular 30w fluorescent bulbs cool and warm light?
Once i figure that out i will start!!! Any help or suggestions would be great

I start all seedlings and clones under 6500k floros...thats all you need for veg. They are so delicate that you don't need strong lights yet. Once they get going,(6 inches or so) then switch to MH.

ok thanks what T8fluorescent bulb are u using for 6500k? i can only find coolwhite (4200k) and warml light (3000k)

6500k should be at least at the hardware store...you can also get screw in cfls. they go right in a regular lite socket. If that is all you have on hand, the coolwhite 4200k would work for the short term...they may stretch, so keep the light close.

T8s will work great for clones and seedlings. Just use cool white or daylight tubes. I literally keep mine 2 inches or less away from the little guys.

need to find cheap fixture and bulbs u think 2 t8 lights will be good enough on a shelf like 2 feet?
