Tahoe OG Kush Blackstar LED SCROG

Hey sleezy I've been following your grows for a while now mate and have to say you do a sick job man .ive got a 500w blackstar like you man but had no great success.
growin in canna terra but I rekn I fuck it up with overwatering or too many nutes ah well part of learning right?

ne ways pullin up a chair now man n watching the magic happen .

Thanks MX822! It takes a while to get things dialed in so don't be so hard on yourself! If you look at my previous grows, they are pretty crappy. Some turned out ok, some were terrible. I have been growing indoors now for about 2 years. I am finally learning thru all my mistakes and getting things dialed in slowly. I have high hopes for this current grow, and I hope I learned from all my past F ups! If you have any questions for me, just ask! Thanks for following my journal!

Hello everyone! Sorry for all the past drama on my thread, everything is all resolved now. Now we can all sit back and enjoy my favorite part of growing, BLOOM! It took a lot of patience to veg these ladies 51 days, but it was worth it. These two ladies are really spreading their legs and filling up my SCROG screen. I see tons of new bud sites, no nute burns, and everything is sexy green! I did some slight trimming yesterday by the main trunks. I plan to trim a bit more during the 2nd or 3rd week of Flower. Maybe try to take a couple clones from under the screen, and if successful start vegging those right away. Got to cut down that 51 day vegg time! Anyways here are some pics this morning of my amateur grow.

is it hard to water the pots with that big screen down? i have used mini moveable scrog screens and works pretty good. my friend THE DAWG uses area 51 leds and he gets nice results. hes in hydro. i would like to switch to leds one day to keep costs down but for now i still own 3 lumitek ballasts and 2 hps lights, one mh and 3 hoods.
here is a picture of my best plant i ever grew that reminds me of how yours looks under the screen. this is the casey jones i was referring to.

Thanks Doc! I pray everyday that things go smooth with this grow! I have my SCROG screen 12 inches above my pots, so it is just enough space for me to reach in and water each of the ladies with a 1 gallon jug. I thought of making a moveable SCROG screen if I went with a DWC bucket. But I decided to stay with soil again, and bought a 3x3 reservoir to put my pots in. That would help me when I am flushing. I bought a Dry/Wet Vac and it can suckup 15 gallons of water. I have been growing predominately with LEDs and I am quite happy with it. I used to have a gorilla grow outdoors and I grew under a 400w MH/HPS hood. It used to get so damn hot in my grow room! I heard good things about area 51 leds, but if I were to upgrade I would go with the Blackstar Chrome. It is affordable, and I get a discount from them! =)

Damn you got 3 hoods? Thats a lot of light! No wonder that Casey Jones looks so sexy! Im guessing you are growing in soil also? I see the smart pot in the background. You are right, that SCROG grow of yours looks mighty sexy and it does look like my grow! I hope I have the same results! What are you growing nowadays?

It sounds like you have covered all the importants items nessasary for a successful grow here. Exellent work and thinkin ahead. You have obviously done alot of research and it is paying off. Yeah you never no what might happen with a grow. There are so many factors that are not under your control.... like neighbors, bad people in general and the weather. Even growing indoors storms might come through to power you down or heat waves that make it impossible to control your indoor temps. It seems i have come across all of those things in my short time of growing now. The worst being the "neighbor" and apt management that insisted on a "walk though" of my apt. I was 3 weeks from harvest of 2 massive waterfarm scrogs..one Pineapple Express, the other Cotton Candy and 12 small one gallon smart pot girls in coco. I had to tear everything down and give it all alway. One of the hardest things i have ever gone through in my life. You can read it all in my journal...cONkeys Trailer Trash grow... i guess its still on here i havent gone there in a while. too sad sometimes.
I like to grow in hydro mostly and coco. I do the small waterfarms with big results. I get anywhere between 9 and 18.5 oz per plant. Im looking to move to start up again so until then i will just admire your beauitful garden to keep my dream of growing again alive. That Casey Jones i grew was amazing . I got really lucky with that girl. she was massive and a beautiful smoke that i was able to share with patients in my community. some vet smokers even said it was the best they ever smoked!!!!

Goodmorning Doc! That sucks about losing your grow due to your manager walk thru! I have lost a couple grows to similar stuff! Luckily I own my house and I have cool old 90 year old neighbors! Hopefully you will be up and running in the near future! I was really interested in those waterfarms and DWC. I know hydro really cuts down on vegging and flowering.. I stuck with soiless mix, because I can go out of town for the weekend up in Vegas or whatever and not have to worry about my PH or PPM being off and killing my plants. I am still trying to dial in this strain and get used to my nutrients. I used to go by House and Garden's nutrient calculator by the book, and never checked my PPMs. That really screwed me up, because their recommended doses were hot as shit! Especially at the end when I start using Shooting Powder. This time around I check my PPM and PH religiously before I feed the ladies. That was my past mistakes, and now I am doing everything by the book! I used to think I didn't have to worry about getting an AC because I was using LEDs. I was so wrong about that also! My temps were too high and my humidity was too high. I really hope this time around I can really pull some dank OG that everyone can respect me for, and I can go from an amateur grower to a veteran grower. Hopefully my friends will be saying the same thing about my weed. That would be the best accomplishment! I am not growing for a profit, I am growing for myself as a hobby. I hope to perfect it soon!

we have the same tent. SJ DR 120! I love that tent. Its the perfect size for scrogging wall to wall.
How do you like your lil 7,000 BTU Air conditioner .. does it control your heat well ? How do you think it would do if i used it for my SJ DR 120 with 2 600 watt HPS going 12/12 . I would already have the room airconditioned ? I currently own a really great portable 14,000 BTU air conditioner that has ducting going out the window for exhaust and intake. As i look to keep costs down yours might be much better to own. I have no idea what it coast to run my AC last summer 24/7 for 3 months because electricity was included in my rent. This wont be the case in the future.
LA seems like the ideal place to live and grow weed. Do you recommend moving there? Im looking for a good bong can you recommend one to me. Take it eazy sleezy.lol

Sup Doc? You are sure right, this DR 120 is perfect for SCROGGIN it up! I love my lil 7,000 A/C! I got it for like $240 and it keeps my temps from 72-76 degrees with 2 of my 500 watt blackstars. Im not sure how it would do with your 2 600s, that can be pretty hot in there! Before my AC I was about 88-89 Degrees! So it drops my temps at least 10-12 degrees. I also leave my AC on in my whole house, so it has cooler air to push into the tent. You might need 2 of them?? Thats another reason to maybe look into LEDs! I only draw about 640 Watts out of my LEDs, and my AC doesn't use much electricity. Im growing in soil so no pumps, etc. in my tent.

LA is a great place to grow weed! It's legal and we don't get that much rain. It does get pretty hot here in the summer though. I am in the valley and it can hit 112F! During the summer you gotta make sure your AC in your house is working properly, or there goes your crop!

I have been using my new Volcano lately, which I love. But I highly recommend the ILLADELPH bongs! I posted a pic of it. The top part detaches and has glycerin around the top coils. You put that top part in the freezer for 15 min. The glycerin never freezes but gets really cold. You then attach the top to the base and the smoke travels thru the coils surrounded by glycerin. It feels like a nice cool mug of beer on the first few bowls. I love it! Thick glass, great workmanship and looks cool! They can be pretty expensive. My illadelph retails over $1,000 US but I was able to get it for $700. I am sure they have good deals online somewhere. I rather invest my money into great glass that wont break, than spending less and have to replace it multiple times. Check em out!

Aren't these girls just so beautiful? I counted 90-100 bud sites already! Getting hairier every day I open up the tent.

I have to admit that when we were fighting, I was hoping for your grow to fail... but I was frustrated by the fact that your plants look so good.

Next time I would double it to four plants to cut down on the veg time.

And are you checking every inch of that shit for PM? I bet it would be hard to see with that weird LED light. It's hard to see even in MH or HPS. I would say PM is your primary concern. Get a powerful flashlight and check it up and down. If you don't see any trace, then you're golden.

Aww thanks honey! Im planning to start another grow in my other tent in about a couple weeks and get a jumpstart on topping and Vegging. I really wanted to do 4 plants, but its so hard reaching all the way back there and watering and trimming. I check for PM all the time when lights are out. Im pretty confident Im good! I got great ventilation, good air circulation, low humidity and ive been trimming underneath so it won't be so thick. Anyways, thanks for the compliment! Means a lot! Just curious, what was your best PPMs during your grow? Instead of experimenting pushing the envelope, it would help to get your intel from such an OG grower of Tahoe OG! You got 3 rounds under your belt! Undisputed champion.

Dude, fuck all that other noise. If you have no PM, that's all that matters. You should be jumping for joy right now. Seriously. I had no PM. No PM means no need to spray treat... and that absolutely makes all the difference in final quality. I'm really pulling for Progressive Options to pull a two for two disease-free grow on RIU.

As for PPM I'm growing hydro, so I'm not sure how the differences really apply, but I went no higher than 850ppm throughout the grow - maybe 900 at one point. Yeah, Tahoe does better on less. Louie XIII from PO fed to 1200ppm no problem.

Checked all over again for PM and Nute burns, Jin. Nothing! Just pure sexiness! I wish I knew about PO so long ago!

Ya the PM wasn't really an issue for me lately. I think I finally got the right tent and environment down. Took lots of Rookie grows to figure out I needed proper ventilation and AC even though I was using LEDs. Also, I used to feed right from House and Garden's nutrient calculator, and was burning the shit out of em. I thought, "oh if they are telling me 15ml per 1 gallon, Ill do it!". I never checked my PPM of my nutrients either. Even though I grow in Soil, I still check my PPMs to see if It is too high. Shit im already hot then! Im at 928-1000 PPM.

Well, I don't know. It's probably not one to one since there's a difference with hydro. If you're growing vigorously without burning, then don't change anything.

And yeah, never follow the directions on nute packages one to one. Gentle...

This is the shit, man. If it's the same pheno I just grew out (and it looks like it), then you're in for a treat... as long as you don't fuck it up. Lol. But since you added extra environmental controls, I think you should have a successful outcome.

I usually fuck it up when I start using shooting powder, and I don't translocate them correctly. Im using everything I "snuck around and read about" on your journal =). I need to get this shit down!
