Tahoe OG Kush Blackstar LED SCROG

So I took a good sized golfball cola down today that was half broken. Checked all the trichs and we are at all milky right now. Still 9 more days to go. Started feeding pure ph'd water with drip clean today. The bud was so sticky I had to hold from the base and make sure I didn't touch anything. The smell is perfect. Dank, pine sol, lemon funk fuel! Going to dry over the next couple days and give you a smoke and smell report!

I started feeding plain ph'd water today. This will go on for the next 9 days before harvest. Instead of flushing, I will water regularly every 2 days with plain water. The translocation has begun in my leaves, and hopefully the next 9 days it will accelerate. I want all those nutrients and chlorophyll used up when it comes chop day. This is a MUST to get the taste and smell during cure that I want. The sample I took today will get me high no doubt, but will it retain that OG smell without flushing and proper translocation? We will see over the next couple days! If it smells grassy, then I know the answer. If it retains that OG funk, Ill be excited for the future harvest when everything was done right. So guys 9 more days till chop chop. Pretty excited! Everything is looking perfect.

Gorgeous.... absolutely gorgeous.
BTW what power of scope do you use for checking the trichomes? I use a 45x and I still have problems seeing them clearly. Maybe I need a 60x+ ?

Thanks Heckler! Im pretty stoked with my early sample. It glistens with trichs. I have a 60x-100x hand held scope. I mostly use the 60x to see the trich's colors.

Ahhh... that's what I've been hearing in general. It seems most use a 60x. I guess I better upgrade... My eyes are getting too old to differentiate between clear and cloudy heads with the 45x (But I can see amber... and spider mite eggs :lol:

I got mine at Radio Shack for like $20. Its a ECOPLUS 60x-100x Illuminated Microscope. I just checked my outdoor Vanilla Kush and I have milky and a good amount of amber trichs! Ill flush till Sunday and chop that day. Smells so good! LIke lavendar, vanilla bean and citrus funk.

Almost there Dr. Amber! Got some milky trichs, no amber yet.. But i Hope that will show up by day 70. The yellow patch of leaves is probably the beginning of the translocation process. It started yellowing when I brought down PPMs in the final phase of my nutrient calculator. My VK is done right now. I got Amber trichs and the calyxes are swoll. So ill water plain water until Sunday when I chop her down.

Thanks for the info. I just ordered one on Ebay for <$5 CDN :lol:

(but not an ECOPLUS...just regular Cheapo Chinese)
And it does 60x-100x... So that should make it easier on my eyes.

So Since I don't know what day of flower I am actually on for my Vanilla Kush, I have been checking trichs instead. All my trichs are milky already, and I have a few amber showing already! So the trichs don't lie, I might be chopping this plant down on Sunday. Ive been flushing her everyday with 1 gallon of Ph'd water. The smell is ridiculous, even outside! Very strong, trichs are sticky and buds are fat. When I actually squeeze the buds, it gives off a beautiful aroma of Lavendar, Vanilla and Citrus. This is going to be some bomb smelling shiz! I am quite surprise how this outdoor plant made such a comeback into some fat and beautiful buds. They are about 3 times bigger than my Tahoe OG buds, but I wasn't expecting huge Colas from the Tahoe anyways. Ive been checking on my drying sample of my Tahoe, and it still smells Dank as shit! I open my closet and that lil bud stinks it up just beautifully! Tomorrow it should be dry enough to smoke. Ill be sure to report back to yall.

Been counting down the days until day 70! Right around the corner! Been feeding pure PH'd water every other day getting ready for chop day. Tested out the sample nug and it turned pretty rock hard by now. Smells very citrusy, sure the funky smell would come out if I were to cure it. The smoke is delicious! Smooth taste and no harshness even without a proper flush. That means I didn't overnute these ladies.

So today I chopped my Vanilla Kush girl! She was one healthy bitch! Thick stalk, thick stems, fat buds, and delicious smell! I didn't take any samples off this outdoor plant, so I will give you a smoke report when she dries out. Did get a good amount of scissor hash while trimming, and im pretty stoned right now. Pretty surprised with the results of my first complete outdoor grow! The sun is not bad!

Ok, so these girls are all ready to be chopped down as of right now! All milky Trichs with some golden amber forming. Sticky and rock hard buds, and I made the mistake of squeezing a bud from under the SCROG screen. Can you stay Super Glue? Shit is reeking of dank OG, and its so sticky its like Super Glue on my fingers...Even after I tried sucking that delicious smell off my finger tips! Harvest day is going to be a sticky and hopefully not too frustrating day for me! The good news is that, the old, ugly 40 something year old hater on my journal can SUCK a FAT DICK! Telling me I grow shitty buds! Its all in the pictures Bitch! No denying how sexy my buds are, I don't need to get any stamp of approval from any over the hill Loser! I know my shit is dank, and thats all that matters! For all you that supported me this whole way thru, thank you for sticking around. I will be posting final weight and smoke reports for all you come harvest day. Day 70 is actually Friday, but I won't be harvesting till Saturday because I know it will be an all day ordeal. Ill be taking harvest pics for all you to see the dismantling of these sexy bitches.

So I did a weigh in today after 4 days of drying for my Vanilla Kush. I got 5.5 oz off that one bushy plant! Im pretty impressed. Today is the first day of jarring, so the taste and smell should get even better! Im anticipating losing up to another oz in water weight during curing. I smoked some of this VK just now, and it is a mix of woody, lavender taste already before cure. Buds are sticky and annoying after cutting buds into the jars. My fingers were sticking like super glue again, even after using dishwashing soap. Sure to be some excellent smoke in a couple weeks. Im pretty high as I write this journal and I can already tell this is going to be some potent kush. Tomorrow is HARVEST day for my Tahoe OG!! These buds are smaller than the VK, but they are dense and rock hard already! I am impressed how triched up the buds are and once again how hard these buds are! I might be chopping tomorrow night, or even Saturday. My gf is supposed to help me with this mess of sticky OG.. So Ill keep you posted. But here are some pics of the Vanilla Kush for you guys before Curing.

Man! Today was one long day! Started harvesting at 10am and just finished right now at 2 am. I only took a break to goto the gym and eat at home, a total of 2 hours break. Shit was ridiculous! IM so sore, but It was my most favorite harvest of all time. THe reason was I was so happy with the results! Primo buds from top to bottom! I usually toss the small nugs, but now this time! I spent 14 hours trimming every lil drop of trich encrusted nug. I got 7 full racks and 1/2 racks or primo buds on hangers. That is probably 2 ozs per hangar. So I am pretty optimistic of hitting my minimum goal of 10 oz. I can't tell you how sticky the trim was. I had to scrap off all that scissor hash every 2 colas per scissors. But the hash was amazing!!!! It tasted like cotton candy, lemon, funk! Got me so energetic I was in the zone, chop chop, scrape smoke, chop chop, scrape smoke. I didn't want to waste a single drop! You can see in the pics how triched up the bottom "popcorn" nugs were. Im really tired and delirious but wanted to share the trim pics. Lordjin, suck my balls! This harvest was the shit you hater!
