Hey fellow growers! How much longer do you think before harvest? These are pics of Tangerine Dreams at 9 weeks flower. There are 3 plants in soil, 5 gal buckets, growing in a 2x4' tent with a 400w HPS. I only see a small amount of amber trichs now but the buds are swelling and they are starting to look pretty sticky.

2-3 weeks was my guess too. This is my 2nd grow so I need all the advice I can get. What about flushing? I am thinking about doing it 1 week before harvest, just PH'ed water. Is this long enough for a flush?? I have read some do it for 2 or 3 weeks.

Don't worry about flushing, especially as you are growing in soil.

I've been smoking Tangerine Dream for a few months, no way can it be called "mid grade", and it doesn't matter whether buds are fluffy as long as they are crystal coated ... and yours are def coated in sugar.

Would they look better if I told you they were C9's? Heh, seems that just the name Tangerine dream causes people to start telling stories about how bad it is.

those things can take a minute to finish. honestly worst strain I have ever grown.
Yep, I'm worried what they will look like on the 13th week or so. ..then I may loose patience and start bad mouthing myself for buyin 'em:-P.
I'll post more pics when(if) they ripen.

I have to agree with the waiting time. My outdoor grow went to the end of Feb. I thought that I did everything right and still ended up with one of the weakest strains that I have grown. I have never grown a sativa so perhaps I blew it somehow. I'm just hoping it gets better as I'm letting the buds stay in the jars for a few months.

You got about a month on those tangerine dream. That strain takes forever to finish. I grew it twice and the second time I killed the plants four weeks into flower because I hated how the mother was finishing. Fuck that strain. The only way I would ever consider growing this strain again is if I lived in the tropics outdoor. If you are looking for a orange smelling tasting sativa that yields big and killer nugs then run jillybean from tga. Barney's farm has some great strains but this is not one of them.

Thanks Matthew. It is almost 2 weeks later and they were looking too ripe, too many amber trichs, so I am doing a 3 day flush and harvesting on Saturday. I'm no expert but these buds look layered. They still have clear trichs on the active growing outer buds but the ones underneath show alot of amber. I'm also giving the 48 hrs of dark to slow it up until I harvest. TG may not be great but it sure looks good.

9 weeks old or nine weeks of flower? looks like your girls didnt get proper light
That was at 9 wks flower. The 3 plants filled the 2'x4' tent and I use a 400w HPS which works out to 50w per sq ft so no light problem. These things never really filled out and never got nice and sticky...

On the up side they din't smell much either. I didn't even bother hooking up my charcoal filter. I also just loose packed 7 qt jars full of buds with NO large stems holding at 72% humidity.

Question? The ends of most of the buds would keep growing out in spurts instead of filling out. They seemed to sit and would fill in then all of a sudden like overnight there would be 1 - 3 inches of new growth. Anyone know what would cause this or how to stop it next time?
