Tangerine Dream or Super Lemon Haze??

Hello there RIU.....Twodef here I am a decently experienced medical grower, been doing what I do for about 3.5 years now......I have ran several strains from BF including LSD, Vanilla Kush and currently running Sweet Tooth.....have read great things about TD, but I also have read great things about SLH too and I just want to know from people who have grown either or both......what do you think is better? What do you like more? I have patients who can benefit from either strain....just curious from people who have either smoked/grown either what your thoughts are on them.....thanks guys happy growing

I smoked both SLH and Tangerine Dream in Amsterdam during Cannabis Cups 2009 and 2010, at Greenhouse and Barney´s coffeeshops, respectively.
While both were quite good, SLH had a better and stronger flavor. The most noticeable thing about TD is the way the nugs feel when you break them apart; soft and creamy, much like hash. Did not smell like tangerines or any kind of fruit to me, or my gf... The SLH was better, but still disappointing. After winning two cups in a row, I expected some mindblowing, worldclass weed...I DID get significantly better results when I grew it myself under a 600W HPS. It smells like sweet lemon candy, with some original haze mixed in. I expected a more sour, lemony smell, but both of my phenos smelled sweet. There were two phenos observed; the indica pheno had smaller calyxes, bigger buds and had an awesome smell to it...very fruity and sweet, lemony and hazy too. The buds were green when dried and cured. This pheno was a better smoke, but less potent than the sativa pheno. Sativa pheno stretched more during flowering, grew big fat calyxes, had smaller buds (though they did not shrink nearly as much while drying, as was the case with the indica pheno), and had HUGE trichs all over, covering even some of the larger fan leaves! The smell is not as nice as the indica pheno, but the high is incredible! Good far any time of the day, but especially useful before sleep (for me at least). Im not sure if it is a coincidence, but I noticed that my insomnia doesn´t bother me nearly as much when I smoke some SLH Sativa pheno right before turning the lights off. During the day it doesn´t make me sleepy or anything though... Sativa phenos yielded more than indica phenos both times.

I haven´t grown TD, so I can´t say much about it...imo, SLH > TD. Why? It´s stronger and tastes better. Perhaps TD yields more, but I wouldn´t know about that. Have to say, yields from SLH were mediocre, though the quality almost makes up for it.

never grew or smoked the tangerine dream, but i did grow the slh and i thought it was great. only got 1 pheno so i can't be sure which one it was, but i can tell you the smoke was everything smoke should be. the smell, the flavor, the density of the nugs. the high was very good and i have a high tolerance (not the best high but i'm very hard to please). an all around great strain if you ask me, and this was when i flowered only under floros.

my TD grew about a metre and does not smell of anything fruity.
