TAP Water Nute PPM vs R/O Water nute PPM

Hey guys,

(setup: Aero with sprayers..)

My friend is wondering, If you use tap water for example: 350PPM TAP and you ADD nutes to 1000PPM does that mean only 650PPM of nute was put in?

SO if this is true, does it mean R/O water with 0PPM and you add 650PPM is it the same nute concentration?

So if USING tap, and you want to use lets say 700PPM worth of nutes, do you ADD 700+350 to get 1050 OR do you just add the ammount of PPM of nute to reach 700PPM total??

Yep.. as far as what you put into the water.

If you want 700ppm you would add 350ppm nutes to ur tap water..

If ur using a grow chart for specific nutrient brand and it says some thing like week 5 1200ppm that means ur 350 from the tap and 850 from the nutrients you bought. If ur using r/o ur gonna use more nutrients.. Make sense?

when you use tap water store it a few days before using it.

i have a dustbin that catches rain, what i use on my plants.

Just to make it clear, you want to use only 500PPM of nute. Does the plant see the PPM as a whole(including tap ppm)? or does the plant see only the nute ppm and the tap ppm as trash?

Does the plant intake see the whole PPM as 1 concentration?

You should account for both the plant will use nutrients out of both the tap and the bottled nutrient.
