Tap water ppm questions/advice

I'm on my 4th grow. I've always used distilled water up to this point. I'm kinda getting tired of always going out and buying jugs of it though and I always run into some yellowing due to cal/mag def at some point and supplement with calmag. My tap water is pretty hard At about 190ppm and the PH is almost 8, so I've mostly used distilled for ease and consistentcy reasons. When feeding do you guys add the baseline water ppm into the calculations? Would changing to tap water all of the sudden affect any of my current grows?

190 ppm is not hard...700 ppm where i live, thats hard..you should have no problems using straight tap water...

Ha, thanks, I had no idea. My ppm meter has a guide on the back and says 200ppm is hard, so that's what I was going with. Lol

190 is pretty good just aerate it and the problems w tap water usually lies in chlorine and chloramine additives. I've only used tap for soil grows. I've used RO for my hydroponics. I would just bring the ph down from 8 if i were you, and watch well water, the sulfur can be a not so good thing.
