u do what? jus in case the water doesnt work
my clones? i soak my rockwool cubes overnight in water with h2o2 phed to 5.0. i shake this solution out the next day. i make a cup of fresh tap(i think the chlorine helps sterilize the cutting) with a pinch of rooting powder dissolved in it, phed to 5.0. i make my cut at a 45 degree angle and split the stem 1/8" from the bottom. i then let it sit in the cup for about a half hour. then i dip in the root powder and place in the hole in the cube and push the rw around the cutting. i water the block with plain phed water and put it under a dome. i leave the dome on untill it can be removed for an hour without the cutting wilting.

k. will clones in water and root stimulator grow roots to be able to plant?
boy this is a fun thread. to answer your question...no I dont think it is feasible to use root hormones and water although some may have success with it. dont think they need it in water. root stims mainly for soil and rockwool cubes. and clones taken and put into rockwool or soil normally droop for a day or two. in water, no I havent seen em droop but why the hell not. and if in water, your root zone should be dark.

and someone wrote distilled water is ph 6, which is incorrect, it is nuetral-7. according to cervantes, some chlorine is necessary and there is usually not enough in the water to cause major damage, with the only effect is teeny tiny burnt tips like I stated before. your concerns should be more about the hardness of your water. used distilled in the beggining in hydro, but changed to tap. plants seemed to like it better.:spew:

i read about guys getting roots in a week but ive never seen them in under two myself.

and the rockwool you will need to buy at a hydro store or online. you can use peat pellets also, they have those at lowes/home depot.
