taste testing?

so i hear people say they sometimes pinch a bud off early to give it a taste test

how do you go about doing this? how do you dry it ? etc

a small bud should dry out in just a couple days just by laying on a peice of paper and putting on your counter or something . you wont get the full flavor but it will be dry enough to smoke.i would just wait though because any bud you pick off now has the potential to get bigger and better by harvest
