Tastes like lettuce

this is my first time growing and my friend told me if a just give my plants water and no fertilizer or put it into shock some how it will taste like lettuce and that he has done that with a few of his first time plants. Im not worried because i was giving them fertilizer anyway but what the fuck?

Taste is a subjective concept. What tastes like lettuce to one, might taste like tomatoes to the other....

Ignore the ignorant - if given no ferts a plant will likely not reach it full potentiol but that will not impart any "special" taste to it.
Pay close attention to your plant & give her what she needs, full flavor is attained in the curing process.
Please look in the "Noob" threads in the forum section. Most any question you can think of has been asked/answered there.

Personally, lettuce, in my opinion, only has a place on a sandwich or in a salad...
