TDS Calibration woes ...

So i bought an Oakton TDS Ecotestr today and the sales associate sold me 1500 calibration solution... so I when I tested the solution it was way off so I calibrated it to 1500. The solution was by Hanna with no indications as to which conversion .5 or .7 will read @1500. Did I just totally "uncalibrate" the tester?

The solution is Hanna 1500ppm HI 70442 and I found a thread where someone posted..."1500 {HI 70442} is used for calibration at .7 conversion factor." Do you think my pen is correctly calibrated? - thanks

Beats me but I hate Oakton meters; I paid nearly $100 for a pH meter and it never worked the first time.
